Bridges took JJ spot and Warren refused to come off the bench. I think JJ is just pissed at the hole situation in general. But he might not like Warren witch would be a problem.

If he played like he did in the 2nd half of last season then he would be starting and at taking their minutes. It's really that simple. He needs to outplay them to see his minutes go up. One turnover at the end of the quarter isn't going to get coach to cut his minutes but an outburst might. He needs to be a professional. Play hard, keep his mouth shut, and let his game do the talking.

JJ is feeling the heat. Other players are getting better around him, but he did not improve over the summer.

I don't know how much better he really got at the end of last year. He put up gaudy numbers, but he was the first option on a team that was trying to lose. Compare these two players' per-game numbers after last year's All-Star Break:

Player A: 30.9 min, 18.7 p, 5.9 r, 2.5 a, 2.5 to, 1.6 st, 0.5 blk, 44% FG, 25% 3FG
Player B: 21.8 min, 9.7 p, 6.5 r, 1.0 a, 1.7 to, 0.7 st, 1.0 blk, 46% FG, 29% 3FG

Is that a huge gap, when minutes are taken into account? Player A is Jackson and Player B is Chriss.

It's possible that Jackson hasn't regressed this year at all, and is just in a situation where his flaws are less tolerated.

It seems to me that most of the recent posts on this thread -- pro or con Jackson or Warren -- are the result of bad management.

Igor's approach of 'everyone is a distributor' is not only not working, it is now causing visible frustration to Booker, Warren and Jackson ... so far. Who knows how it is affecting the rest of this young team?

Our dysfunctional team is going farther south week by week, even if we win a game here and there with a lineup change. How long will it go on?

The sad part is that the ownership group, with their firing of GM's and Head Coaches and roster turnovers and pissed off players on an ongoing basis, offers no hope.

For all long term Suns fans, that is so difficult to swallow. But, over recent years, it has been one embarrassment after another. With no relief in sight.

it could vary with circumstances but generally I'd rather have a SF scoring 19 pts at 44% than a PF scoring 10 pts on 46% shooting. It is better compared to the averages for SF(45.4%) and PF (48.1%)

"I don't know how to play bad basketball" -- Josh Jackson

Play is a verb, and badly should be the adjective. Bad refers to nouns. Just saying, Josh.

Adverb. So you don't think "bad basketball" can be a noun phrase which would make it acceptable grammar? I'm not sure on this, just asking.

Poor basketball. Bad basketball would be like an evil ball or an evil game.

Not so. Badly is an adverb, not an adjective. But, you're right that bad modifies nouns.

So, bad is proper. It modifies a noun, (the game of) basketball.

Those words have various meanings. Bad is the opposite of good, just as it could be evil.

There is nothing wrong with bad basketball. Except playing it, of course. :)

I don't know how to play bad basketball.
I don't know how to play basketball badly.

Both correct. Nuanced difference in meaning.
No gripe with JJ's grammar.

Yup. In your first sentence, bad modifies basketball (the noun). In the second sentence, badly modifies play (the verb).

JJ throws his team under the bus while taking no personal responsibility for his play.

Start listening at the 5:15 mark.

Here's most of the quote:

"i don't know how to play bad basketball, i'm never a guy to play bad basketball, so whenever my team is playing bad, when the entire team is all over the place i'm going to look bad too, i'm never going to play good while my team is playing bad."

I'm not sure what he was trying to say in the first part of the quote but i like the second part of the quote.

I think he was trying to say, in the immortal words of Duke Ellington, "I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good."

He is saying "Its not my fault, its the whole team's fault. Where's my trophy?"

It sounds like he's saying that the reason he looks bad is because of the team being bad overall and not because he's playing bad individually. He's saying it's impossible for a player to look good while the rest of the team is bad.

Someone show him Booker's stats from the past few years or even Warren's from this year to knock some sense into him.

Jackson is making the decision on whether or not the Suns pick up his option for the 2020 season very difficult...

Gosh McDonough’s incompetence ruined two back to back drafts in ‘16 and ‘17.

I don't know. 2016 certainly. But I do not remember anyone on this board who was not thrilled with the Jackson pick. I was. And that wasn't about being a McDonough fan or anything. For most of the months leading up to that draft people were saying it was a three player draft--Ball, Fultz, Jackson. Tatum was not originally considered in that group.

Honestly, I probably would have taken Jackson at #1. It's easy to criticize picks now, but at the time, that looked like a solid pick in 2017. Hell, most people graded Suns draft in 2016 as an A or a B+.

EDIT: Looks like they nailed it in 2018 though!

I was thrilled with the pick and am not close to ready to give up on him either. It's been ugly for him quite a bit of the time this year, but the potential is on display is some form or another in almost every game. He just has to learn to clean up his decision making first and foremost. Then once he stops making so many poor decisions than you can start to give him more responsibility.
