I’ve always been pro-tank but there’s no doubt that culture can ruin young and immature players.
Bridges took JJ spot and Warren refused to come off the bench. I think JJ is just pissed at the hole situation in general. But he might not like Warren witch would be a problem.
JJ is feeling the heat. Other players are getting better around him, but he did not improve over the summer.
19>>>10I don't know how much better he really got at the end of last year. He put up gaudy numbers, but he was the first option on a team that was trying to lose. Compare these two players' per-game numbers after last year's All-Star Break:
Player A: 30.9 min, 18.7 p, 5.9 r, 2.5 a, 2.5 to, 1.6 st, 0.5 blk, 44% FG, 25% 3FG
Player B: 21.8 min, 9.7 p, 6.5 r, 1.0 a, 1.7 to, 0.7 st, 1.0 blk, 46% FG, 29% 3FG
Is that a huge gap, when minutes are taken into account? Player A is Jackson and Player B is Chriss.
It's possible that Jackson hasn't regressed this year at all, and is just in a situation where his flaws are less tolerated.
On worse percentage shooting. So in other words, he just jacked up more shots. A LOT more shots.19>>>10
"I don't know how to play bad basketball" -- Josh Jackson
Badly would be an adverb, in that instance.Play is a verb, and badly should be the adjective. Bad refers to nouns. Just saying, Josh.

Poor basketball. Bad basketball would be like an evil ball or an evil game.Adverb. So you don't think "bad basketball" can be a noun phrase which would make it acceptable grammar? I'm not sure on this, just asking.
Not so. Badly is an adverb, not an adjective. But, you're right that bad modifies nouns.Play is a verb, and badly should be the adjective. Bad refers to nouns. Just saying, Josh.
Those words have various meanings. Bad is the opposite of good, just as it could be evil.Ouchie-Z-Clown said:Poor basketball. Bad basketball would be like an evil ball or an evil game.
Yup. In your first sentence, bad modifies basketball (the noun). In the second sentence, badly modifies play (the verb).I don't know how to play bad basketball.
I don't know how to play basketball badly.
Both correct. Nuanced difference in meaning.
No gripe with JJ's grammar.
JJ throws his team under the bus while taking no personal responsibility for his play.

I think he was trying to say, in the immortal words of Duke Ellington, "I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good."Here's most of the quote:
"i don't know how to play bad basketball, i'm never a guy to play bad basketball, so whenever my team is playing bad, when the entire team is all over the place i'm going to look bad too, i'm never going to play good while my team is playing bad."
I'm not sure what he was trying to say in the first part of the quote but i like the second part of the quote.
He is saying "Its not my fault, its the whole team's fault. Where's my trophy?"Here's most of the quote:
"i don't know how to play bad basketball, i'm never a guy to play bad basketball, so whenever my team is playing bad, when the entire team is all over the place i'm going to look bad too, i'm never going to play good while my team is playing bad."

It sounds like he's saying that the reason he looks bad is because of the team being bad overall and not because he's playing bad individually. He's saying it's impossible for a player to look good while the rest of the team is bad. Here's most of the quote:

I don't know. 2016 certainly. But I do not remember anyone on this board who was not thrilled with the Jackson pick. I was. And that wasn't about being a McDonough fan or anything. For most of the months leading up to that draft people were saying it was a three player draft--Ball, Fultz, Jackson. Tatum was not originally considered in that group.Jackson is making the decision on whether or not the Suns pick up his option for the 2020 season very difficult...
Gosh McDonough’s incompetence ruined two back to back drafts in ‘16 and ‘17.

I was thrilled with the pick and am not close to ready to give up on him either. It's been ugly for him quite a bit of the time this year, but the potential is on display is some form or another in almost every game. He just has to learn to clean up his decision making first and foremost. Then once he stops making so many poor decisions than you can start to give him more responsibility.I don't know. 2016 certainly.
