I'd take a chance on Nick Perry in free agency.

As for the draft, to me, the most intriguing question will be what will Keim do at 29 if Noah Spence is on the board?

Amazing things happen in the draft but I think it's wishful thinking to believe Lawson, Rankins, Lee or Floyd will fall to 29. I'm not sure which Jenkins you mean. Ogbah is very raw and may become a rusher at some point, but the Cards need 2016 help. Dodd could be there. He is also rough. He doesn't seem to have that burst a guy like Feeney has. He's closer than Ogbah, but hard to imagine him having 2016 impact. BTW I know getting immediate help from a drafted edge rusher is rare. If you want to gamble on a developmental player and write off next year take Jaylon Smith. He may never play, but if you win; you win big!

I think history supports the fact that speed rushers are the most likely to have immediate impact and that's Floyd. He's no sure thing, but he's the best shot. They should sign Freeney now. They should have grabbed a FA like Hayes. That failure has left them here.

I personally hope Dodd & Ogbah are there but we all know what has happened the last 2 years when we stay put Mitch.

We all have seen the last 2 days how teams cover edge rushers, so maybe it is time to move up & put the chips in the middle of the table. Jeez I'm so tired of having to have this same discussion every season. Guys like Marcus Golden don't alter games continuously or win games like the Von Millers, etc do!!! Just sayin

Buck, you only find Von Miller at the top of the draft. Khalil Mack...top of the draft. I get that it is frustrating, but in FA and at #29 in the draft, you get 8-10 sack guys for the most part. The best that most teams can do is get multiple guys who can win one on one matchups and rotate them around so they can stay fresh. Getting a DE who can rush may be our best option for an immediate impact player.

I would sign Nick Perry and Andre Branch as well as Dwight Freeney. Draft Kenny Clark in round 1. Draft Jordan Jenkins, Victor Ochi, Matt Judon, Charles Tapper, Yannick Ngakoue or De'Vondre Campbell in the later rounds. Hell, maybe Correa is still around in round 2 or close enough that you can move up.

I still like Vernon Butler in the first...with a decent DE in the second..... if we eat up those inside blocks there is nobody left to block Golden or freeney...

so,...what if Keim sold out and made a trade with the Titans for that first pick??.... do you get the edge rusher??.or do you draft Wentz?

How bad would the fan base implode if we drafted Wentz?...... QBOF is great but does nothing for winning now........

Trying to win now while at the same time assuring you stay competitive is a tough job...especially so when you are always drafting in the bottom ten picks.....sooner or late a big move needs to be made which will likely cripple us for a couple years in the draft.
