to sign a new coach. Why:
1. It mostly revolves around the new stadium. To my knowledge there is no marquee sponsor for the stadium (this will not probably be done until 2006 - the stadium opens in the fall). So...in about 24+ months there will a sponsor deal announced. We need at least a playoff contending or .500 + team.
2. Someone has done the math..a big name coach and a winning record could perhaps double season ticket sales.
$3 - $5 million per year for a new coach is not totally out of the question when you consider the benefits...
I could go on and on for other reasons...but I have to run for now. I think we are prepared for a bidding war for a guy we want. shocker...
