Although our Oline was really bad, and I think it might be the second most important position next to QB, we need to get another good receiver. I felt like Rosen got demoralized as his receivers dropped the ball over and over again. Receivers can take time to develop so I want one that has a few years on him.. If we have to give up a 3rd or something around that to get somebody's above average in productivity number 2 receiver I think it'd be worth it or if we have to overpay a little bit.

Was also hoping we would sign a FA and draft one in round 2-3. No more Chad Williams and JJ Nelson.

When Funchess got $13 million as a free agent WR my hope of getting a reasonably priced younger vet in free agency kind of died. His highest yards in a season was 840, he only had 549 last year. I thought he'd be a good value priced guy with upside but the market is crazy right now. John Brown got $9 million a year. Trading for a WR might be the best bet given these prices...not sure who is on the market.

Not a great list of free agents. Cards will get one but won't overpay. Probably will not be big name. Some good wrs in the draft.

Maybe a Chris Conley type would be a good fit. Big and fast, not sure on hands but limited production in KC may make him an affordable option.

for what its worth...we still have Jalen Tolliver on the practice squad. The kid made a lot of progress last year and may be ready to contribute this season. I thought he was gonna make the 53 last season but being a rook he lost out to guys with a bit more experience.

What do all think of Randle Cobb?

Depends what he thinks his value is. We do have 2 coaches on the staff that spent a lot of time with him so if they do pursue him we know they liked him.

Didn't he miss a lot of games last year due to an injury?

Solid draft for WR's this year. There will be a very good one available at the top of round 2. Would like to see us bring in a vet though to add to the group. Moncrief would be ideal.

I’d take Golden Tate

We need some solid, reliable vets right now. It seemed like last season that once Kirk went down, Fitz was really the only consistent WR who had a clue of what he was doing

Have they been shopping him? I hadn't heard that. I thought he was their "Fitz" and practically untouchable.

I dont care if they are. With that recurring toe injury I wouldnt give anything more then a 5th rounder too much injury concern.

I was working on the BRS Draft Issue, and found myself deep in a pool of talented wideouts (mostly 6-2 or taller; plus a few 4.30 -4.40 blazers).

I think we'll draft as many as 3 wideouts.
