I've been a Cards' fan since 67'. I bleed Cardinal Red! But, I just cannot find it in me to get excited when D.A. is in the game. As I watched from my local sports bar and the score got to be 31-14, I thought one more series and I'm out of here. I have NEVER walked out on a game! Well, we scored, and then GHayes scored, and suddenly I'm thinking...maybe....maybe...BUT, in my head I'm hearing, D.A. is going to blow it. Maybe not this play...Or the next...but he will! I felt no joy when he was picked. More like, yeah, like you didn't see that coming. :(

When Max was handed the "keys" to the Cards' offense. I thought, hmmmm? The kids' got moxie, the players seem to want him in there...Maybe he can spark us. In fairness to Max I think it's hard to judge him accurately when 300-lb cheetahs are chasing him down like he's an antelope on every play. I can see him becoming a reliable back-up but I'm not seeing the arm-strength to scare teams deep. As great as Joe Montana was, I wonder how we would fare in todays game of football with much faster and bigger players.

Anyways, I'm done. An eternal kool-aider bites the dust. At least for this year. Hope will spring eternal come draft day I'm sure. The thing is I don't really blame the front office. Or even Coach Whiz'. I think the Cards' front office played "chicken" w/Kurt and lost. They figured a guy with that many kids and a hunger for the game was not going to walk away from a check that size...OR one more shot at glory. But, he did. I personally think when he got laid out late in the Saints' game, that was it. Anyways, Leinart was "option B" but neither Whiz', the front office, or even his teammates seemed to be solidly in his corner. I seriously doubt he would be doing much better if he was still here. It doesn't take a genius to see that there's a lack of quality QB's out there. Whiz' bought into the idea that D.A.'s gun-arm (with some tinkering) would be the answer. Clearly, it hasn't been. Lightning seldom strikes twice in the same place. Yesterday, I'm screaming kick the FG. Take the points! Then I watch a hurried up pass-play where D.A. "bounces' the ball off his own lineman's head?/? I shook my head and groaned. :bang:

Kurt's excellence at QB "masked" alot of the teams' short-comings. Unless you have a top-notch Defense I don't see how you can win with-out a great QB. It was a great run! ...And it may one day be again. Soon, I hope. I'm also hoping we see "Big Red" Skelton before the end of the year. If so, I will settle in at my local sports bar and cheer. I wish everyone well. This fan board means alot to me. Take Care! Mark in S.C. :) GO CARDS! :D

It's so painful, I volunteered to work most of the Sundays the rest of the year. I'll get home in time for the 4th quarter, but I feel if I'm going to be miserable on Sundays I may as well get paid. I think a taste of success has rendered me incapable of being satisfied with a 5 win season(not that anyone should be satisfied with that) and losing hurts worse than ever.

Hey, Osbern...I hear ya'

Due to a work conflict I missed the Seahawks' game. 1st game I'd missed in about 6/7 years. It was agonizing to not know what was happening while I was at work. :( The Cards' game at the end of the week is my "reward" for getting thru the week. I had successfully managed to talk my boss into changing my schedule allowing me to see the Saints' game and yesterdays Bucs' game. It's just that after so many years of losing, I've gotten used to the sweet taste of winning. The sour feeling in the pit of my stomach when I left the sports bar last nite was brutal.

Winning in sports is a fickle thing. Very fickle. My Blues' are playing well in hockey this year. My Hawkeyes in the college ranks, as well. But, my Cards this year?? Well, "Meatloaf" sang 2 out of 3 ain't bad but when it's my Cards that aren't doing well?? UGH! I wish I could find a reason to have hope this year.

Because of the Whiz debacle Vince I may be able to score you some Cardinal Tickets. So don't bitch. Be happy that our head coach...well you know my feelings on Whiz.
1. Let Q go. No Compensation
2. Let Dansby go No Compensation
3. Cut Matt No Compensation
4. Let Wells get away to Philly
5. Bought in Alan Fanica (He Sucks)
6. Rearranged O-Line (Disaster)
7. Needs an Offensive Coordinator
8. Needs to hire a new Defensive Coordinator
9. Needs to admit that he is the one at fault for the teams performance so far this season.

Thanks but I realty don't care to go to the games until my son is old enough to enjoy them with me. Maybe next year :)

I do miss the stadium and the people though.

Clearly, you have a short memory. It's amazing how people seem to forget how bad things were every year. We're one game out of first place in the worst division in the NFL. I think I'll stick around.

The Cardinals not being able to keep quality players happy and on the team predates Whiz. Maybe you should look higher in assessing blame? Thomas Jones sucked in AZ but he runs like gang busters for every other NFL team he plays for. They havent has a good RB since Ottis Anderson. That was so long ago most fans that post here dont even know who he is. Why are players more productive when they leave AZ? That happens way to often.

100% agreed.

I cannot think of a dumber thing I have seen over the last 8 weeks then the amount of complaints about how people cannot watch the team anymore.

Then don't. If it is so painful, or unpleasant then don't watch. I don't mean to instult, but it is stupid.

Why waste your (not directed at anyone specifically) time watching something you hate. Most around here are already saying the next game or the whole season is a loss. So be it. Stop watching for the good of yourself.

Cause for more than one reason:

1. For your own good.

2. Some of us are not going to submit to your misery. I will enjoy watching this team, and I will enjoy talking about. To me, it is football. Most importantly a time to sit back and relax. To constantly rain on other people's parades, and try to make them feel bad cause you do is selfish, and vindictive. Furthermore, I for one and tired of hear this constant whine fest. Man up, and start acting like you can take some adversity and bad news like you have some strength in you character. 2 or 4 weeks I can understand. 1 or 2 days a week of venting I understand. But the constant every single day of goes over the same complaints is stupid and annoying.

Thanks and I will get off my soap box.

And of course now I will end up complaining all next week after this weekends game.....it is inveitable. I wonder which of my shoes tastes better.

Ok help me out here........

Explain how trading Q for a 3rd and 4th round pick is getting "No compensation" like you stated?

Also please explain how trading Wells for a 6th round pick is letting him get away to Philly?

If you're going to rant at least do it honestly.

I have to admit. I'm taking a break from the team and the teams message board for the rest of the week. Yes, I will still watch them this week. But the fact that we didn't put in a claim for Moss when we have a blundering idiot practice squad guy like Andre Roberts on the active roster really just set me off and convinced me that the coaching staff and management is ready to pack it in for the season. I'm mean, seriously.....

Because of Randy Moss ?

Seriously ?

Bring in a volatile WR, who can be a locker room cancer, who is easily upset when he doesn't get the ball, to a team that is having major issues throwing the ball ?

First off, I'd rather stick with Fitzgerald, and Breaston.

Second, I cannot phathom why anyone would want to bring in Randy Moss.

I've never understood posts like this.

Why can't you just say something like I feel your pain man but you know the Cardinals, just when you think they're dead they pull a Lazarus and win a few. And just when you think they're finally on their way they shoot themselves in the foot and lose a game we were sure they'd win or get the crap beat out of them.

There's never a dull moment being a Cards fan so why in the world would anyone ever want to quit?

Wow.

DJ, you and I think the exact same thing about the Cardinals. I don't care what anyone says, but the Cardinals have the most interesting football games, good and bad, I have ever seen.

No kidding. I don't know of any other team that has games as wild as ours. The Monday night meltdown followed by the win over the Saints this year where the winning team in each game didn't score an offensive TD.

How about the worst team in the NFL in 2003 beating the Packers and then in a miracle finish beating the Vikings to knock them out of the playoffs and let Green Bay back in.

Or two consecutive overtime games where the Cards won without ever having the ball on offense.

Or the Cowboys "take back the Nest" game in '97 where we snap a 13 game losing streak in OT with a FG that bounced in off the upright.

We could go on all week I'd bet.
