I just watched the 1998 Cardinals Highlight video. I'm a little misty.

Was that the only fun season we're ever going to have?

Also, other than Ron McKinnon, is anyone even left from that team?

Yeah, I forgot Player and Dishman.

Kwammie and Frank were the only other two I can think of, and I assume Lassiter no longer counts.

Let's not forget those damn flagboys they started with in 1998... and that horribly cheesy "celebration" music from what sounds like 80 years ago.

I try not to

It still gives me the chills and I have to hold back the tears, I'm serious. It makes my brain go numb and I ask myself could Wadsworth come back, does Rob Moore have anything left in the tank and the hamstrings, could we bring Miller back. That video hurts, really bad like.

The only thing that sucks about that 1998 video is that I have to listen to Tom Dillon gobbling like a turkey.

I will give Dillon credit for the Jacke GWFG call...it was great, but other than that, his voice made my skin crawl.

Dave Pasch has been one of the best offseason pickups the Cards have made recently.

Don't get me wrong, he was good for a while...actually a long while. However, in recent years, he would mis-identify players more often than not, he would never let Mistler get a word in, and it seemed as if he was not doing his homework anymore.

Pasch is young and hungry and you can tell in his broadcasts. He obviously has done his homework to get up to speed from the get go.

Also, I never saw Dillon on national TV like we all see Pasch from time to time. Dave is clearly more talented at this point.

say it isn't so - that horrible celebration music is my favorite song in the world - it's just sad I don't get to hear it more often -it's so cheesy - it's great!

two things.
the celebration music is EXTREMELY cheesy but i LOVE it. i used to listen to that dumb song as a kid with my dad at busch stadium after lomax hit roy green for a touchdown. when i went to school in az, i got to listen to it again. let's face it, this TEAM is cheesy. we play in a college stadium, have "old school" uniforms, and we have flag boys! it all fits together and we all will admit we love this team :) and one day we're gonna win!
2. this pasch guy is ok, but dillon's call on the jacke field goal will always take me back to the moment and shed a tear.
