Big fan of how we handled it. There seemed to be a real emphasis on drafting the best player available while also conveniently filling a lot of holes.

IMO, bulking up the defense should be the priority. Kyler either is the guy or he isn't, making a need pick for a mid round "speed" receiver isn't something I cared about at all.

To win in the playoffs you either need a great quarterback or a great defense... and even as jaded as I am with Kyler, I think he's far better than the crop in this year's draft (maybe other than Ward). So, build up the D, this board has lamented our terrible D-line for years and after this offseason it has potential to be a huge strength.

Yes and anti-Kyler people should realize that at least 50% of fans consider this year his last hurrah if we don't win a playoff game.

Even AZ media and sports radio has made similar statements.

Building up the D gives our offense more opportunities. Our defense was last in time of possession last year.

I did want one as well. The thing I realized is oline is probably more important. Resigning Hernandez or someone else would be huge.

The fact our def was last in TOP last year is going to change drastically. Plus the fact they will prob take away the ball more with this group.

Offense should have more possessions then last year every single game. Biggest thing is getting more YAC and separation out of Wilson and Harrison.

Harrison, would said the game was overly sped up for the first half of the season and felt completely different and played better as the year went on.

I think we will be okay if this is our biggest weakness and if not, we always got the trade deadline.
I wanted Kyler to have another receiver, but I mostly really like this draft. In fact, I was really happy with every pick but some of the day three picks (I like the Simon pick).

27th in defensive scoring %
17th in turnover percentage
31st in time allowed per drive (not sure this is a meaningful stat)

what do hippies and john gannon have in common? we're all about the rotation

we don't have multiple starters at each position on murderer's row but we have a lot of bad intentions - offensive linemen won't get to take plays off - much the opposite - constant violence - fresh bodies who all want to stay in the game and the only way to do that is through violence

rookies that wanna come in and take over - vets that can't let that happen - the perfect combination resulting in a performance based environment - performance being violence

it's the word we heard most over the weekend - pick gets made - google the name - and there's some local writer calling our new player violent - did monti using a key word search to find these guys?
offensive lineman almost never get to take plays off, unlike defensive lineman...

It is. It's hard to score when you don't have the ball...
