...but if there's one team in NFL that can screw something up, it'll be the Cardinals pulling out a victory in week 17 against the undefeated Colts.

Most likely scenario - Cards get beat by 30 points but Manning winds up with a broken leg and is out for the playoffs.

Ouch... Colts fans and the media will be after you soon enough. Dungy would be an idiot to leave Manning in for more than one drive. In that one drive they would obviously score a touchdown and they would beat us via special teams and backup defense. We are nowhere near the caliber of anything that team will field this season.

I am sure there will be 1-2 plays that will give us an inflated sense of hope going into the '06 season. I love this team with my very being, but the Colts are unreal. I will still be pissed as hell when we lose, but it will be fun to watch.

Had a similar thought to myself. Cardinals will get a lot of attention IF the Colts are indeed 15-0. It will likely be a nationally televised game. I figured the Cards would find a way to screw things up -- like Adrian Wilson pummelling Manning and knocking him out of the playoffs!

I hope not. Football fans across America will hate us.

In a way

that hate thing could be good for us. Look at Dallas, Oakland, everyone starts hating them and all of sudden they have fans crawling out of the walls.
Actually, even with the 16 win record on the line, it's eerily similar to alot of other games over the years. Cards should lose big, but do just enough to hang around and thn miraculously pull it off.
Go figure. but we'd be the one team they should know not to get lax against and yet, they will.
Before you start ripping me, just wait and see. It's typical Cards. I'd even be willing to bet they don't lose by more than ten if they lose.

Scott,
I'm not ripping into you when I say this. I'm ripping into the truth that you just told.

If Adrian Wilson knocks Manning out for the playoffs, screw 'em (the Colts). Who should everyone hate, the player who gave it his all or the coach who left his prize QB when he already had homefield advantage throughout the playoffs? That said, I hope that everyone comes without injury.

At least it will probably be a nationally televised game.

Well.... Maybe that's not a good thing.

:biglaugh: Love it! But I'm not laughing at a possible Manning injury but a Wilson sack that will most definitely happen! Dungy better think that one over.

I certainly don't think it will be a blow out. It will probably be something like 30-20. Manning and the rest will be out of there quick. So will most of their defensive starters, so the score won't be too lopsided. We will play relatively close but the win for the Colts will never be in doubt.

Manning and Co probably won't even play a snap. It'll be a close game because we'll be playing Jim Sorge and James Mungro (there's another back, that may even be the #2 who's name is escaping me right now). The Oline will likely be the same.

I still think the Colts are better than the Cardinals with Sorge at the helm and Mungro totting the rock. What may make this close or even give us a chance to win is that Freeney probably won't play and the other starters along the Dline will be rested a lot.

Peyton probably won't even play this game. He probably won't even play much this week either.

What I'm more concerned about it the Colts resting all their starters and still kicking our tails...yep, on national TV.

I suspect deep down some of us Cards fans would not mind.

There will be a few AFC cities who would be pretty happy. ;)
