I remember.
Remember when Donald called the Wii a "gimmick"?

When the Wii is $99 I will buy one for my kids. I think it will be great fun for a gimmicky system. I'm not paying $250 for it though...ever.
It was $249. You lose.
Ok, so I did my free Wii offers and I got a Wii for a price I am comfortable with, roughly $9.73.
They had no Wii in stock so they sent a check for $300. Nice, since it will cover the Wii and the sports addon with the extra controller (wii play?).

Doesn't matter if it wasn't your money.
No, THEY paid that much. I paid $9.73.
Tailpipe.
true. You had a check for what, $300? I'd have spent it on something else, probably. No, they gave you money, and YOU paid that much.

Exactly. They didn't give you a Wii Gift Card or anything like that.
You got suckered in to buying a Wii at $249, when you said that you would only pay $99.
I don't agree with your store credit notion, as they gave you a check, and not a gift card.
We had a huge thing at work, regarding accounting regulations, with managers giving away movie tickets, which should be taxable, since they have a cash value. In order to avoid the tax, you have to give tickets to a specific showing of a movie (American Gangster at 7PM Friday).
You could give someone an iPod, but cant give them a $149 Best Buy giftcard, since that can be used for anything.
Laws are weird.
Don't accuse me of not finishing what I start, damn it...You have no follow through then. Start something...finish it.
That's so odd. Especially a specific showing of a movie. Weird.
I try to earmark money that comes in and use it for its intended purposes. For example, from the sales of Cards tickets we didn't use, I have some money sitting in an account to be untouched. That is money for next season's tickets. I don't consider it money I own...I'm just going to make some interest on it then turn it back into the ticket money from which it came.
I was born to be a politician. (well, I guess not because if so I would use the ticket money and then go back to the people who bought the tickets and force them to pay me more money to cover what I spent. Then borrow from China to pay my renewal.)
I'm sorry. Please forgive me.
Had to pull that card.
I am actually going over there in a bit.
Donald,
what is the link to the place that you had to jump through the hoops to get the wii.
