Next week when they announce King during the opening player announcements (I believe it will be Offense this week) I say we all join to together to boo King. I'm not a huge McCown fan but at least McCown never leaves us in a horrible position. King threw 3 interceptions (almost as many as Josh has this entire season) and he had alot of horrible throws. I was embarrassed while i watched this game at work today.

And another thing. What the hell happened to our defense? They imploded on themselves today and did not look like the defense we have seen in nearly every game this season. Defensive line got no pressure, linebackers played poorly (56 is Hayes right?) In the plays that i saw early in the game number 56 got thrown around like a rag doll and was constently late on plays. Whoever that was had a horrible horrible game from what I saw.

I'm frustrated. I'm going to boo King all game next week.

No effing way. That's one of the worst things you can do.

If he effs up, then fine...boo him. But if you want to win the game, don't boo Cardinal players. Give him a shot in the game before you go ***** on him. If he earns it in that game, then fine.

Worst idea I've heard all week...even worse than Green deciding to switch QBs at the last minute, and leaving a guy who didn't take the majority of the reps in practice out to dry.

I think King will have a much better showing next week, after getting in the groove of the first team offense.

We were without Dansby, and Berry, Hill and Starks are nicked up pretty bad. Starks out there as the #1 makes a huge difference. Dansby and Berry are our pass rush.

To be fair, our D got kicked around pretty good, but they were without their big guns today, except for Wilson.

The rest of your post is pretty weak but I'll focus on the complete lack of truth in this statement. Didn't McCown throw an INT to hand Seattle the lead in the second half before our ST bailed us out? Didn't Josh turn the ball over four times against Atlanta including two in the red zone? Didn't Josh throw a crucial pick against New England when the game was still up in the air?

Face the facts, all of our QBs blow. And to boo a guy before he has played a snap is pretty weak also. Did you boo McCown prior to the New Orleans game a week after McCown's Atlanta debacle? I didn't think so.

I understand your frustration HB3, but the guy is going to be wearing a Card's uni next week. Please support the entire team next week if you can. King will either succeed or fail on his own merits. We can fairly critique his performance after the game, that's fair play IMO.

yeah but thats a catalog of every mistake McCown has made over NINE GAMES.

Do you expect every QB to start their careers like Roth? Or do you just expect competence?

You can yada yada yada all you want Maotosi, but whether or not McCown has been "competent" in his nine starts is a matter of opinion not fact.

Thanks

You know, McCown is not the answer. King is not either. But McCown is the better of the two from what I saw today. Go with your best shot to win not some guy who hadn't started in two years.

this team did look totally out of sync today though. Penalties killed us. Or offensive line is offensive. Defense, regardless of who was out, looked horrible. I do think though that next week we put it in the hands of our defense and start McCown. He isn't great either but he seems to make less mistakes.

Lets not waste our great receivers

We have at least two and probably three excellent receivers. This demands a quarterback who is a proficient passer and can throw short, deep sideways and whatever. Our receivers were being wasted with McCown. King may not be the answer but he showed enough today to deserve more chances.

I'm officially on the bring in Drew Brees bandwagon. We bring him in, fix the oline problems, draft a running back in the first round and we could be dangerous.

No penalties, defense plays well, and a week under center with the o-line should have King in a position where we can continue to move the chains with significantly lower turnovers.

That is what I expect to see. Another abomination from King like today, and he's gone. However, he has a better chance to lead us to wins than McCown does (by ratcheting down the turnovers.) I think king's turnovers can be controlled/minimized, but reading defenses and going downfield seems to be something that McCown either can't or won't do.

They both suck, but booing OUR team is not the way to motivate anyone.

#56 is listed as LeVar Woods. Gerald Hayes is #54.

Bench King. Put in McCown. Because, usually, even when McCown has a horrible game, he still gets in the plays to just win the game. Heck, put in Navarre for all I care. Might work out. I don't know if any QB could throw behind this line, though. The Cardinals had over 10 penalties for 100 yards, most of it from the o-line. That is a serious lack of discipline that needs to be changed immediately. King turned the ball over more than a blind high school quarterback on a cold, windy day. Any man that has that many turnovers should be on the sidelines watching.

Folks booing him after one game under center with little practice with these guys would be bush league. If I had my druthers I would start Josh but, I don't. This is my team and after 6 games this team has shone some life. It isn't King's fault we fell behind 14 zip withour being able to stop anything. Penalties, one after the other. A great throw and catch holding a great touchdown holding, off sides. They had a running game I thought Barry Sanders was back on the field. Pendergas did not have them ready for this game I don't care who was hurt. THey have half their team on injured reserve.

WE are not a very deep team/. This is Green's first year. We are still in the chace, believe it or not. Don't boo any of our guys they need us. I know sometimes it appears like nothing is right and even I will boo, but not out of the tunnel. Not Right!

Beyond the turnovers, which were clearly bad, who didn't think that King was moving the ball better in the passing game? The obsession with Josh, who has done crap all season is unbelievable. The patience shown with McCown is shocking, especially with little progress made. King plays one game for the team, and you think people here want to string him up. The booing suggestion is pretty sad, way to support your team.

You are a joke. Your the most ridiculous fan I have ever met. A guy plays his first game at QB with our team and his first time EVER playing with these guys in a game situation and he doesnt play great so you want to boo him next game. Thats a joke and a disgrace to a cards fan.

I'm a season ticket holder and a huge cardinals fan so don't question that. I feel insulted by your comments, but i won't personally attack back.

King did not play well today. The only reason we moved the ball well today was because we were getting destroyed and they played some soft coverage to prevent us from getting huge plays. They knew we weren't going to get back into the game by running or dumping it off to a tight end or to a running back. He was always late to throw..... I saw him on two seperate occasions (keep in mind i was at work and couldn't watch every play) have a wide open receiver only to throw it a couple seconds late and have a defender close the gap. We won two games in a row with Josh. He had no interceptions last week and i don't think he had any against Miami either. I don't like Josh much either, but he has made far less mistakes this season. I'll give them both the fumbles. Thats the O-lines fault. I cannot forgive interceptions though.

This is just wrong, the biggest difference between McCown and King is, King took his shots down the field. You think Anquan and Larry prefer that? Sure, he missed some open recievers.....don't know anyone else on the team that has done that.....Josh didn't have any interceptions last week, true, but he sure as hell could have, and should have. Give King more than a week before you make a judgement on him, much less boo him at home.

Another poster said to ask Fitzgerald and Boldin who they would prefer. I think that pretty much says it all. With that said, however, I would rather see what Navarre has to show, but that wont happen until we offically get eliminated from the playoffs.

I think King took those shots down the field because we were losing... out of neccessity. Josh has taken his shots down the field as well (Miami game and Seahawks games come to mind with long passes to Fitz in both). I think both QB's suck but i think McCown gives us our best chance to win now.

I hope i'm eating crow next week and you can give me crap then if i am.

I hope Larry and Anquan prefer a QB who kept us in the game, regardless of their stats.
