I hope Larry and Anquan prefer a QB who kept us in the game, regardless of their stats.

the DEFENSE has kept us in the games. Come on man. The Defense could have done the same today as well if they weren't making penalties, letting Nick Goings go Brock Forsney on us or giving up a basic 3rd and gola from the 30 with 9 seconds left in the half and no timeouts.

Shaun KIng definitely sucked today, but to say he's the reason we lost the game is foolish. It's just as foolish as those people who said Josh was to blame for the Bills game - both games were complete and utter TEAM meltdowns. We've hjad two - the rest of the year the DEFENSE has kept us in games.

I agree the defense struggled today, just like special teams did against Buffalo. But like special teams in Buffalo, the offense put the defense in bad spots today, with short fields and stuff. At least three of Kings turnovers were in Carolina territory if I remember correctly too. One was returned all the way back to our 1 yard line.

After Carolina got to a 14-0 lead it looked like the defense was gonna clamp down. We got a pick, and things started going our way. Then the BS call against Freddie Jones happens, and the very next play King throws an INT.

All I'm trying to say is that even though the defense struggled, King never gave the team a chance to make up for it and come back. He just helped dig the hole deeper.

No, no, it was all Shaun King's fault, nobody else made any mistakes, and Shaun has no ability to play better next week....

Finally an allie in this thread. Thank you.

I understand your frustration HB3, but the guy is going to be wearing a Card's uni next week. Please support the entire team next week if you can. King will either succeed or fail on his own merits. We can fairly critique his performance after the game, that's fair play IMO.

Personally, I couldn't stand King when he was with Tampa Bay and I was not thrilled when we got him, but since he is going to be the Cards' QB...I'm going to cheer for him. As long as he's the QB, he's got my support. If it works out - great. If it doesn't work out - I'll support the next guy.

You know, McCown is not the answer. King is not either. But McCown is the better of the two from what I saw today. Go with your best shot to win not some guy who hadn't started in two years.

this team did look totally out of sync today though. Penalties killed us. Or offensive line is offensive. Defense, regardless of who was out, looked horrible. I do think though that next week we put it in the hands of our defense and start McCown. He isn't great either but he seems to make less mistakes.

Thats pretty petty of you to give one guy 9 games the other 1 games that have the nerve to say he sucks cause everyone was out of sync. Try rewatching mccowns first 4 games.....

You are a joke. Your the most ridiculous fan I have ever met. A guy plays his first game at QB with our team and his first time EVER playing with these guys in a game situation and he doesnt play great so you want to boo him next game. Thats a joke and a disgrace to a cards fan.

King played in the preseason.

He didn't look that good then and he had a hard time hanging onto the ball...wow, the preseason really can tell you some things about some players.

Edit: As I said before, I'm not thrilled with King as QB, but I'll be cheering for him every time he takes a snap, because he's the QB of my team.

However, I may BOO HB3 at the halftime meet.

O

If we go by preseason put in Navarre he was nearly perfect.

BTW booing king is the most stupidest thing I have heard. I hate McCown as our starting QB but I do not boo him. (But then again I am alone in my living room so it doesnt have much affect anyway lol)

Maybe he's the next Tom Brady (another recent Michigan QB)...?

We won't find out if he just holds a clipboard...

Hopefully, if things don't improve with King, we at least see what Navarre can do before drafting a QB early.

Next week when they announce King during the opening player announcements (I believe it will be Offense this week) I say we all join to together to boo King. I'm not a huge McCown fan but at least McCown never leaves us in a horrible position. King threw 3 interceptions (almost as many as Josh has this entire season) and he had alot of horrible throws. I was embarrassed while i watched this game at work today.

And another thing. What the hell happened to our defense? They imploded on themselves today and did not look like the defense we have seen in nearly every game this season. Defensive line got no pressure, linebackers played poorly (56 is Hayes right?) In the plays that i saw early in the game number 56 got thrown around like a rag doll and was constently late on plays. Whoever that was had a horrible horrible game from what I saw.

I'm frustrated. I'm going to boo King all game next week.

That should really help things!

I think he was trying to counter all of the cheering the Jets fans will do when they see King announced as our QB.

Correction

Hayes is 54... not typically "thrown around like a rag doll"... 56 is Levar Woods, taking Dansby's place... he has been around with "potential" for the last 3 years... never proven and never will be better than a ST guy.
