Michael Bidwill visited my place of work yesterday and I had the opportunity to shake his hand and talk for a few minutes. I considered asking him questions about recent events to get information I could post here, but decided to focus on saying “thanks” for the Team’s recent successes. He is definitely on the “trust Whiz” bandwagon and volunteered that Coach makes decisions based on putting the Team in position to win. Michael B was very open and easygoing. He expressed appreciation for the fan support the team receives. I told him that Management deserves credit when an Organization succeeds and that the fans appreciate it. He also told stories about the trip to Canton with Russ Grimm that I won’t go into. Great job Michael B, thanks again!

Very Kool!

To have an approachable owner & coach is a pretty kool thing to me. ...And I luv' how Whiz' does his victory laps to share the moment with the fans. Hopefully, there'll be lots of those this year! GO CARDS! :D

Thanks Dan, I'm getting my Jazz back right before the first game, I remember the old days and hope for the best. Lord of the Rings comes to mind again.

We Soldiers of Gondor, whatever comes out of that tunnel we will face it, We will not shrink, and bow to no one!

small chance at success, impossible odds, What are we waiting for!

We are Lords of the NFCW, One ring that rules the others, We have a better chance than others!

Rod Graves was in the South end zone concourse about 30 minutes prior to the start of the game last week. He was talking on the phone, or I would have approached him.

I'd have asked him why the NFL and NASCAR can't get together and schedule the Cards out of town the day of the race at PHX Speedway. This will be like the 5th time in the last 6 years that they are both on the same day. Traffic is a nightmare as 130,000 people all try to get home on I-10 and 101 at the same time.

Also would like to ask him why my tickets increased in price almost 30%. Up $32 a game.

I'm not sure that the Cardinals have any effect on when and where their games are played.

The Cardinals do have some. They can choose some dates that they want games to be scheduled (or not) and it is taken into consideration.

Wait until next year when your seat license renews. $155 a pop up from $123.85.

Next year there won't be a season, so it will be down to 0. :D

My only meeting with Michael. First regular season game, I am in a long long line to purchase a beer. I see Michael standing off to side side. I pointed at the length of the line and said "What's up with this?". He came over to me and said (We'll fix that). Next game there was an additional beer stand withing a few yards of the original one. The lines have been shorter since.

Did he super-size his value meal?

Just kidding, Carddan. :D

Thanks for sharing !! :newcards:

Let's put it this way: when he's flying his private jet or the team's charter is in the air, they don't go anywhere unless I tell them to.

Soon, one of the instrument arrival routes into Sky Harbor will have its waypoints named with a Cardinal theme. "Cleared Direct Tillman", "Cross Bidwill at 8,000 then reduce speed to two one zero", and "Depart FBall heading two six zero" are the types of things I will get to say soon.

Oh God, Now I have to know that my life is in the hands of Air Traffic Controller Carddan, when I fly into Sky Harbor Int'l. Just peachy! LOL

Dan do you wear your paint or airlines colors at work!

Long colts life is not a bowl of cherries or even peaches, It is more like a Jar of hot peppers!
What you eat tonight with vigor, may burn your AZ tomorrow!

There is no face paint at work. "Carddan" is an alter-ego which really doesn't fit my "real" personality. On the other hand, my work personality isn't exactly the "real" me either. That guy is a perfectionist, hard-nosed control freak.

To really know me you would have to spend time with my family because they come first; or spend a weekend at my cabin in the mountains where I belong.

understand

me too I'm actually within normal limits on anything but being a Cardinal Fanatic. I'm from Lakeside, related to most the mountain, where I belong but I take pride in being an all around arizonian.

I have a deer hunt in 37B near florence! not many bucks per square 100 miles, but I will pull all my stubborness from many generations and hunt that 1 buck I have scoute with all my ability. I like my chances!

I'm going to scratch a new set of Cardinal Petroglyphs, to guide future generations to never ever ever say die, Many people came to AZin the early days, few stayed! 2010 Cards are not my first rodeo.

We will survive.

More like a red Xterra than a truck, but yeah, you got me. One of my boys bought that plate for me two years ago. If I was South of Bell Rd I was heading to work, if I was North of Bell I was coming down the mountain like Longcolts guessed.

I sure hope I was driving "politely". Putting that logo on makes me feel responsible for representing the team in a positive way. (something I don't always succeed at, but I do try)
