The Bears are not unbeatable but we have to get out in front early and make them play catch-up.

I can look at this game in every way imaginable and can't see us winning. We may stay in it for a while but will eventually be overpowered by a better team.

Needless to say I hope I am wrong and you are right.

I actually think that is dangerous. I think we need to keep it close and sneak one out from under them. I think if they get knocked down, they have enough speed and playmakers on both sides of the ball to "take our best puch", retake the lead and not look back.

That's what happened with KC.....

Like we did with the Chiefs? :|

I have zero confidence in the Cardinals to put away an opponent. While I'm not a big Rex Grossman fan, it's definitely an understatement to say the Bears will be very very tough.

I still think Rex Grossman is easily rattled and could easily transform into the Grossman of 2005

I agree with Skkorp. If we can get an early lead I think we can take them. I am still not that impressed with the Bears offense, especially Rex Grossman. Plus we will have Gabe Watson out there smacking Thomas Jones to the ground. We beat them in the pre-season so we already have a look at their team as well as some confidence going into this game.

Like any game, it's all about turnovers. If we force more than we give up, we have a chance.

Guys, you have to cut EoT some slack on this one. Remember, the UK has a more laissez-faire attitude towards recreational hallucinogens than the US.

Dang, where is Maddogkf and his bong picture when you need it?

I pray to god they win, but I give the team about a .03 chance to win based on how both teams have played this season.

a dream is a dream - i am no nostril damus but these things do come true!

and just to lower the stock on me dreams/predictions - i hope not all dreams are true because last night i dreamt that i had to fight a bear (not connected to Chiago i dont think) before i could cross a drawbridge to a castle!
:trout:

The headline in the Chicago Tribune sports section today is "heaven help him" with a picture of Matt Leinert below it. Each beat reporter had predicted a Bears win and all by 21 points or more. They have even gone so far as to suggest the evening will be a failure if the Bears get less then 8 sacks. One writer even attacked Boldin for having said words to the effect that if the Cards prepared as best they can, and execute w/o mistakes they could stay with the Bears. They predict a stadium more then 50% Bear fans.

If the Cards players have any pride in themselves, knowing the season is about to go down the drain, and that they are on national TV, they would make the superlative effort. This might be their "Super Bowl" but I'm not sure the have it in them.

those reports should be pinned all over the Cards locker room...

Snakester:

Let's review the stats on Rex Grossman after five games: 93-152-1,243, 61.2 pct, 8.2 ypa, 10 TDs, 3 INTs, 100.9 rating (2nd behind Donovan McNabb). Ranked 6th in the league for passing yards and 2nd for passing TDs. His offense is putting up 31.2 ppg, tops in the NFL. And in what some folks like to think is the most-important stat, his team is 5-0.

If you're not impressed with Grossman and the Bears offense, who does impress you?

And the number one threat on tonight's Threatdown?

Bears! They are godless killing machines, and they must be stopped.
