Mitch, all you have to do is call them up, say you are wanting to leave, and they will give you a smoking deal. My friend has done it 3 years in a row and he has got his monthly bill down really low and got the Sunday Ticket for free. He does this each year and each year, he gets Sunday Ticket for free.

Shaggy---now that DTV is owned by AT&T, negotiating with them isn't nearly as easy as it once was. These days, so many of the agents on the phone are difficult to understand (broken English) and semi-ignorant of their standard procedures. The last 4 times I have called (over the past 4 weeks), they refuse to connect me with a manager. Even though 2 months ago I told them that I could no longer afford MLB Extra Innings and to not renew me, they made no effort to give me a better deal, AND the are still charging me for it, for which i had to stop my electronic monthly payments so as not to pay for services I am not using.

I am so tired of having to make phone calls to them -- it is virtually impossible to rely on the same bill amount for consecutive months. It's such a ridiculous run-around.

If it weren't for NFL Sunday Ticket I would have dropped them long ago. They are the kings of extra fees and way-overcharged programming.

Okay, Pay attention. If you have AT&T phone and internet, here is the deal I got.

First I called At&t to get my internet and home phone lowered. They asked me to bundle my phone and DirecTV bill together for a great savings.I got a higher speed internet , they dropped the price from $59 to $30. They dropped the home line from $30 to $25 saving me $30 a month.
Then they connected me with direct TV. They informed me that I was a longtime loyal customer and that I qualified for a $50 per month discount for the next 13 months. Free HBO and local Sports for the next 6 months and free showtime for the next 4 months.
The woman asked if there was anything else she could do so naturally I brought up the NFL Ticket. She gave me the NFL ticket for $17 per month for 8 months and the last two months would be $29 for a total of cost of $185.
Now I pay my At&t bill and DirectV as one bill. What happens next year? We'll see.

I had Direct TV but got tired of the interference from the trees in the yard and the storms that came through which knocked out the service at least 4 times a week. Only reason I got it was the Sunday ticket to watch the Cards games. Great in winter with no leaves on the trees but spring and summer it sucked. Housing restrictions prevented them form putting the dish in the yard or on the front roof so they had to switch me to Uverse which I like but no Sunday ticket so go to Sports Bars to watch Cards if they are not on local TV.

game pass in an option just outside the state?cause in europe u see games live

It's not live in the States, so what people here can do is sign up with a VPN and it will give you the option to sign up for the international version. Then you can stream them live as if you were in Europe.

+1

And I like DirecTV, but that medium is dying.

Wait till 5G routers come out and the cable modem business dies off too! Crazy push of technology right now, and the entertainment industry is getting turned on its ear trying to figure it out.

Because of the social relevance and educational content of so many TV shows and stations today and in the future, I feel, for the purpose of limiting the divide between the classes, the government should make free access for all citizens to every station and its content. Just like access to free sites on the internet, stations and the shows should be made available for all, rich and poor alike. Those companies/corporations can make their money via ads and commercials, instead of also charging us for access to them.

Hopefully the day will also come when no one has to pay a cable or satellite company to receive these shows and content. The government should pay to put up a satellite to broadcast and all citizens who purchase whatever types of receivers necessary in the future to receive the signal should be able to receive them. Just like with TV antennas in the past. Every home should be allowed to receive TV for free without being gouged by all these internet, satellite, cable companies.

What if education was only for those who could afford it, and schools were allowed to gouge us for letting our children learn, as we allow our institutions of higher learning to do. TV and the internet are the greatest learning tools we have for the masses, and sometime soon they should be made available to everyone paid for with our taxes through our government.

As long as we keep electing those who see the world and our country as the haves and have nots, and desire to continue with and to widen that discrepancy, I suppose equality of fundamental things will never exist, whether it be health care, good education, or a fair and equal justice system for all. It is hard to think of any country as being the best, or even one of the best, when they keep denying the basic things in life to so many of its citizens.

After all, should it not be a basic right for every citizen to be able to watch their home team play their games. God did not give us the Cardinals for only some to follow and enjoy watching play, anymore than He gave us the 10 Commandments for only those who can afford it to follow. They are both just as necessary to keep our society peaceful, calm, and regulated.

Now excuse me while we turn to this short commercial announcement.

Do you suffer from constant gas through the night? Do you pass gas constantly as you sleep through the night to the point that when you throw back the covers in the morning the obnoxious smell knocks you back out? Well if so, then you need the revolutionary new product called simply BM. Yes, simply take 2-4 small BM tablets each morning with breakfast, and in the evening before you go to bed at night you will have a total and complete bowel movement, emptying your colon, and doing away with your flatulent problem. Yes, with BM both you and your loved one will no longer be afraid of snuggling up close to one another. You can now wake up in the morning, throw back the covers, and smell nothing but the sweet odor of a fresh new day. BM is now available at your local emporium. Now back to our post!

Go Cardinals.

NFL Game Pass will allow to you replay every game. That seems to be the only option for out of market games, but it isn't live.

But they do post them that same day - for $99 it might be your best bet? Those live streams are very buggy and you end up with viruses.

Like Mitch said, now that AT&T owns DTV they don't care at all if you cancel NFL package... Which I did last year. Several Card's games were on network, I drove over for a game, and I was out of the country for 3 weeks anyway. So I just said screw it and canceled.

What really chapped my hide is you can't get redzone if you don't have NFL.. Verizon has a sweet deal now and you can stream redzone on your phone for $2 a month so I just went with that.

The question is "why should you have to jump through these hoops?". Just put your product out there at a reasonable price and reward long time loyal customers. Screw having to bow at their feet every year.

How soon after the game ends is the tape available for watching?

Usually they already have them up by the time the Sunday night game starts on NBC. Plus you have access to all seasons from 2009 onward. I watched again that playoff game with Kurt Warner vs Aaron Rodgers in 2009 - classic!

Kodi is an open source media player that in no way endorses 3rd party "pirated" add ons , as they call them. Fire TV won't stop the ability to sideload it because they know it would hurt their bottom line. Pre loaded Android boxes are getting some flack but there are plenty of stripped down boxes for cheap & can be configured to run Kodi, Terrarium and many other streaming apps.
My point, there is tons of apps (,free and paid) out there that can play literally anything, including NFL in at least 720 if not 1080. DirecTV doesn't have Pac12 yet I can watch every Pac12 game, go figure. Streaming is taking over, there's enough grey areas out there that alot of apps and software can give unlimited content. Until that gets straightened out, with some research, you can watch pretty much anything you want

I'm wanting to dump Comcast, but Root Sports Pittsburgh has total control of all non-nationally televised Pirates and Penguins games. The ONLY way I keep access to them is through Comcast. That, IMO, is worse than Sunday Ticket with DirecTV.

in 2016 I was living in an apartment that did not allow a satellite. I called Directv and ordered NFL Sunday ticket only, that comes on the computer. They asked my address, I guess it was in their database as an apartment, so I paid $99 to stream it on the internet.

I know about Kodi and have watched movies and TV shows at a friends house, but he said it was hard to find sports feeds for NFL games. Is this true? In Nevada I can just go to the casino and every game is on a BIG screen anyway. Cheap drinks and food specials, too.
