A buddy just mentioned that with some cable companies you can DVR something and watch the DVR'd item from a tablet anywhere in the country.

Is that for real? Does anyone have it?

My family is landing in disney world September 28th and we play Tampa bay September 29th. It will be on TV locally but I dont want to pull the family away from the park so I can go sit in my hotel room and watch football. (it is planned now but I know they are all unhappy about it)

However: If I could get home late that night and watch the game on my tablet that would be friggin awesome!!!!

I thought about DVRing it and just watching on saturday when I get home but I would have to avoid all newspapers, turn off my cellphone and not watch ESPN at all throughout the week. This would be much cooler.

Heres to hoping someone has that service and will let me log in and watch their DVRd cardinals game that night!!!!

Let me know.

If you have directtv you can log in to your acct & watch on-line I believe. I know you can set shows to record on-line.

Why does your family have to leave Disney World and go back to the hotel with you? What at you scared of the dark? Go by yourself. ;)

So you obviously have internet access from your phone. Just listen to the broadcast live while your family is waiting in lines and catch the video later.

Slingbox has absolutely nothing to do with cable and neither does DirecTv for that matter. I love how some on this board ask for advice and when given solid answers they just take a Shiite all over them without doing the tiniest bit of research for themselves.

I guess the answer you are looking for is "Well, I'm not doing anything that weekend...I can record it and deliver it to your hotel room."

By the way that whole buying Madden Aniversary Edition we were discussing in another thread would have solved your issue.

Sorry for the douchebag response, it just gets old is all.

I give that game about a 60 to 80% chance of being blacked out in central FL. So I wouldn't count on watching it locally. Tampa's had 19 of their last 23 home games blacked out. They expect that to improve, but I don't see the Cards being a big draw.

It sucks where I am - I get both the Tampa and Jacksonville blackouts. I get the double blackout whammy this year. Tampa I can handle. I'll just go to that game. But the Jacksonville blackout burns me. I'm 200 miles away. I've never met a Jaguar fan in my entire life.

If you know somebody that has the Sunday Ticket with the Max upgrade, you should be able log into their account from FL and watch the game live (as long as that person doesn't live in central FL). Unless their system detects that you are accessing with a central FL IP address - then blacks you out based on that. I don't think it does that though. I think it looks at the actual home address of the account holder. I could be wrong though. As far as them offering an online recorded version, I'm not sure how that works. It might just be live action only.

I would assume lots of ppl dvr the game. I thought singbox was a box that pulls off of your cable and I said cable because I'm on a phone posting via tapatalk and it would take forever to list all of the different services I do not subscribe to.

Find somethin else to do unless being a forum douche is one of your hobbis

Ps: I researched a bunch and found lots of dvrs I could spend hundreds on like tivo. Nothx.

That sounds lame. I'm just seeing if anyone had that service. I don't have some huge dilemma, I just thought id say if anyone had it. I have no issue w watching in my hotel just being inquisitive

Now that's a good post, whole point of the thread.

Didn't realize they neversell out, that could be a problem too!! Figured it was a given.

Anyway, I'm at the bar. Thx for post, is helpful

found the fine print
*Live game broadcasts are not included with the NFL Game Rewind service. NFL Game Rewind provides on-demand online video access to NFL games after they have aired on broadcast television. Sunday afternoon (1PM ET & 4pm ET) and Sunday night NFL games are available following the conclusion of the Sunday Night Football game telecast.
so it sounds like I could flip it on right when sunday night football ends and watch it. Also on the website it says they do 30 minute condensed versions that show ever single play without commercials, could be the best bet that late at night.

Now the only question will be how good the wifi in the hotel is :)

I had the list of supportd stuff here but the format was messed up. Link to compatible devices: http://gamerewind.support.nfl.com/V...6&SPID=44870&DB_OEM_ID=22900&ATCLID=205563696

hmm. I have an asus transformer. Kernal is 2.6

Android version is 4.0.3 - I am still a greenhorn at tablets and this is an older one. Anyone who knows this stuff, would mine work?

Maybe try the tech forum? Btw I don't think BigDeal was being a douche. He explained as much in his post. Have a good time at DW.
