Everyone hoping we draft a QB with our #1 will be dissapointed.

If he finishes the year in the last two games the way he has played these two games then he will be our QB again next year. He is showing great signs of improvement.

Oh and the only stat that matters? 3-1 in his last four starts. 6-9 as a starter overall. Not a bad record for a QB in his first 15 NFL starts.

Thats all assuming we win this game(we will)!

I think the point he was trying to make is that in the last two games Josh has started, as an individual he has shown more that in his previous starts, win or loss.

Good observation.

I hope you're right but I still have this little guy with horns on my shoulder telling me "he did this last year too, that's how we got in this mess in the first place."

once the pressure is off, Josh is playing good football again, against a defense that came in with 20 TD passes allowed and only 6 picks.

It's tough, Josh has the arm, has the athletic ability, I can certainly understand why so many are convinced he'll eventually flip that switch and become a good NFL QB, I just see 2 different players, the one who looks great when it doesn't really matter, and the one who looks scared when it does.

thing is it makes Green look WRONG - he wont like it and will get a new QB regardless of a good finish from Josh

Wrong for benching him, but if he's this good, Green can always say I told you so, just took longer than I expected.

Other thing is if we tender Josh as expected, and he plays out the season well, it increases the odds that another team MIGHT make an offer to Josh.

Personally Russ I dont think that Josh looked quite this good last year at the end. Decent but not as good as he has looked the last two games. He is looking extremely good today and has been the victim of several dropped passes by Jones, Johnson, and Boldin.

Green has turned too many franchises around in Pro and College to think that he would be that dumb to make a move just to save face on that one spot.

I don't think playoffs this year was ever really going to happen, if it did that would have been more than we could have expected.

This will be Green's real team next year and then we'll see if he can take us to the playoffs.

Couldn't his benching Josh be part of his "master plan" which, so far, seems to have worked to ignite a spark in Josh........

Only blemish is that fumble. I can't believe we held the Rams scoreless on Offense.

i didn't agree with it at first but benching mccown seemed to have motivated him, i think starting navarre was a mistake, mccown should have been brought back in for that game
josh has all the tools and seems to be putting it together at the right time,
i can't believe we could even still win the west

Several is probably an overstatement. No receiver catches 100% of catchable passess.

Overall, I thought our receivers played pretty well today.
