Think Peyton retires now? No freaking way if he is able to play he will definitely want to try and match rings with baby bro!

I hope Edge doesn't talk to Peyton, this staff and fans treated him poorly. what a piece of crap only had 2 - 1000 yard seasons in a row before we benched him behind THT and cut him after being the difference in our 08 playoff run.

I don't think the Cards will pay him? Kurt went to the Niners after a Super Bowl- before signing for 2 years and playing 1 for less than what is due Manning 3/8/12!

If you couldn't see that Edge wasn't playing like the guy we signed him to be, you're blind. He had a low, practically useless YPC that was only held up by literally running three yards and falling forward every single time. The guy was practically finished when he became a Cardinal, and honestly only played adequately in the playoffs that year. Hightower offered a lot more versatility and fresh legs, even though he didn't hold up as we went through that bad stretch before the playoffs.

The fans embraced him when he came to the Cardinals - I remember the roars in the crowd when he took the field. But he wasn't great. There's no hard feelings against him, of course. He did work hard, and was the first step in this era toward making us look legitimate. But I strongly disagree with the idea that this franchise, whether you're arguing it as the staff or the fans, mistreated the man.

I'm completely comfortable with your "feed the Bean" schtick - we'd be better if we ran the ball with him more. But Edgerrin James simply didn't have the talent to be an every down back anymore.

Edge is comfortably retired on Bidwill money. Can't see what he'd have to really complain about. As you said, he had "dead legs" that SB season and the break from regular play freshened him for the playoff run.

Remember when Shaq joined the Suns? A lot of Shaq fans in the world... Sure there are a lot of Peyton fans as well.

If the Patriots had won the SB and Manning signed with us, what odds would you give that this would have been the first Thursday Night game to kick off the NFL season next year?

Oh well, I guess we'll have to settle for a Sunday Night game in Foxboro when he signs with us.
