Easy, Dion Jordan.

I would be happy to use our 2nd and 3rd round picks to upgrade the offensive line in that case.

I really think there will be some teams who really regret this draft more than most years. Ezekiel Ansah is the perfect example of why. Big time athletic ability overruling red flags and lack of production.

The Detroit staff got to know him at the Sr. Bowl. Looks like they might be sold on him.

I'm having trouble getting excited about drafting a guard when one can be had in the second round. I'm not saying it would be a bad thing but I think the Cardinals did well, all things considered, drafting Massie in the 4th round and Potter in the 7th round last year. I see Mayock thinks a team will draft a QB in the top seven picks as I have said. It will be exciting if teams think more of the QBs than they have lead the fans to believe and there is a push.

What would get me excited if the Cardinals can move down a few picks in the first round, still get a nice player and get another pick or two. I know the Cardinals have Palmer but I can't help think some team is worried about the Cardinals might select a QB. To be honest, it wouldn't shock me if the Cardinals draft Geno Smith if he is there.

Ideal wide 9 d-end for Detroit.

Dion Jordan is just to skinny for me to get really excited about. But then again John Lott is a wizard so maybe he could be the beast you guys think he'll be.

He is the only one that scares me about the Cards possibly taking him according to a few mocks. I would be happy with about anyone else that would be there for us. But if we take him, I will be truly bummed.

Yes , every draft seems to have a few of those Combine Tarzans who turn out to be Playingfield Janes . Some front-office guy dreaming -- My gosh , did you see how that guy dominated those orange cones , he is just what we need .

Some did quite well on the field and in the combine too. Very well.

Some who are rated real high on this board stunk in the combine although they played pretty good.

Goes both ways. Some good players don't make it either for one reason or another. Some just get picked to the wrong team.

I don't think theres much chance of us taking Ansah. BA and Keim have talked about on field production being key, and that is not Ansah.

Moreover, at this point, his game doesn't translate to a 3-4 OLB. He seems to be better suited to a 4-3 wide 9 system, which they run in Detroit.

too many times this team has looked at a draft as.."it is very strong in this position, so we will get one later"....which has resulted in drafting many mediocre players...just this once, the draft is very strong in interior linemen,...lets break trend and get the very best of a strong class...be it Warmack or Cooper...just get the guy you feel is the best of a strong class of interior linemen

Ansah....wouldnt touch this kid with a ten foot pole before the third round

Smith....would not be bummed if we made that pick, but just a little worried...early in the season I was convinced he was a top five pick but his late season stumbles have given me pause....I believe he has the talent and the intangibles however I do not see him as a rookie starter....but we have Palmer
I would almost rather see us make a series of trades that sets us up with several higher picks next year so we are in position to trade up and get the best of what prognosticators are saying will be a fantastic QB class.....even if we have to trade away much of this years draft.

On Ansah. If I ran a 4-3, I love the idea of drafting him. But if you are drafting in the top 10, I don't see how those teams can afford the risk. That is what scares me. I like Carradine even more than Ansah, but even if he wasn't coming off an injury, I wouldn't be ok with the risk due to his lack of starting experience.

Too often do I see top 10 drafting teams trying to hit a home run when what they really need is a double. Unless it is a QB, one player will not totally change your team and lead to wins. Get a guy who is a total package. Good size, good athleticism, good strength, good experience and good scheme fit.

It will be interesting to see if Detroit takes him. He's perfect for their scheme and Jim Washburn loves him, but Schwartz and Mayhew may be fighting for their jobs this season. OTOH, it is is Detroit and they may not be fighting for their jobs after all.

I could make a very good case for him with the Lions needing to pressure Aaron Rodgers and the Packers lacking an elite left tackle.
