Shouldn't a team that is closer to 10 players away than 1 from making the playoffs be jumping at the chance to do this?
I mean I'd even use one of the picks and trade the 2nd for a couple of 2's or 3's and end up with 5 picks in the first 3 rounds... But I'm crazy like that I guess.
Let's face it. If we sign a top10 player they will most likely sign late and be of little or no impact this year.
Save some cash and use it on Robinson and/or a decent starter that gets cut June 1st to fill 2 holes for the same money as a top 10 pick. I have to admit, I haven't crunched the numbers but I would bet Robinson or anyone else that has to rely on AZ to pick them up around June 1st isn't going to be getting top $$$.
Since I didn't mention it yet, the attached article makes it sound like NewOrleans is chomping at the bit to give us 2 number 1's, which could be totally false.
