While I believe Peyton could have played smart, masked our poor OL, gotten us to a respectable 10-6 and the playoffs...we are the Cardinals so chances are he would have either sucked or gotten hurt. :|

He would not have had the success he had with DEN. He has LT Ryan Clady, one of the best LT in the game and DEN OL as a whole is light years ahead of ARZ. With Batiste starting the first half of the season Manning would have been on the IR.

He would've been the second future HOFer that we would've made bawl in a press conference.

Actually, we would've made the playoffs. He's THAT good.

Agree to disagree. PM was sacked a total of 21 times this year, Skelton & Kolb combined to be sacked 42 times. Manning has a quick release but is very immobile. Given his injury history taking 2 times the amount of sacks would have landed him on the IR at some point.

Kolb runs into sacks and quite often holds the ball too long and Skelton just flat out holds the ball too long. Then factor in that Peyton is very good at pre-snap reads and making adjustment via hot routes, checking to a run play or vice versa. He is also pretty good at moving in the pocket and at least avoiding big hits. I would be willing to bet that he would have been sacked no more than 30-35 times.

8-0 start before he breaks his neck and snaps his back in half. We finish the season unwinfeated with Lindley and Skelton.

I have to think of all the games we would've won with even an average QB, much less a great one. Jets, Falcons, Bills, Vikings, Rams (probably both games)

We had a playoff caliber defense completely wasted this year. With Manning, they would've been even better.

A side note. Consider:
1. Whiz is fired and doesn't get a HC offer, this year.
2. Josh McDaniel, Broncos' OC, is hired by the Cards as HC.
3, Whiz is hired by Denver as their OC, and gets to coach PM, afterall.

Josh McDaniels isn't coaching for the Broncos. Also he would get what 1 or 2 years with him and be right back to where he was with the Cards.

Kolb did a much better job this year of not running into sacks but I basically agree with you.

Peyton would have taken us to the playoffs.

Also I would add that teams are less likely to blitz on Peyton because of what he does to you when you don't get there fast enough.
