I will have to get back to you with a reference but Colledge was drafted as an OT out of college (2nd round pick) and then played OT for Green Bay up until their Super Bowl year when he was moved inside to OG.

We obviously recall it differently and, as I said, I will look to find reference material.

Well according to his Biography on
http://www.azcardinals.com/team/roster/Daryn-Colledge/fd27196c-4fdd-487b-b4e6-fd48a68423dd

In 2006 he started 15 game 14 at LG and one at LT and only reason he played LT was because Clifton was out of that game.

In 2007 Appeared in all 16 games (13 starts) while also starting at LG for both playoff contests.

In 2008Started all 16 games for the first time in his career and was one of only two players (Jason Spitz) to take every offensive snap ... joined Spitz as the only linemen to start at three different spots on the offensive line ... opened 14 games at LG and one each at LT and RT

In 2009 Started all 16 games for the second straight season for Green Bay, starting 14 games at LG and two at LT

Colledge was a better Guard than Snyder last season but that doesn't mean much since both are bad. Snyder has a bit more value because he's cheaper and can play some center. Both need to be gone before the 2014 season.

What horrible signings those were.

I stand corrected. You had it right.

If they didn't actually start, it would have been bad. If they didn't live up to expectations fine, but they weren't terrible. They were serviceable. Like it or not. Very many offensive linemen are. Potter was the same, but he's young with upside.

Colledge was serviceable but Snyder was one of the worst guards in the league according to advanced stats. Colledge's caliber of player shouldn't be making 7+ mil a year (which he'll make next season).

Potter will be 25 when the season starts he doesn't have much upside. I think he's the perfect backup though.

Cheap, young and has athletic talent. Great backup, and who knoes how much he can develop.

No. He's making $4.8M this season, including a $1M roster bonus if he makes it to the start of the league year. He's making about as much as TJ Lang and Chris Kuper, and a little less than The Guard Formerly Known as Steve Hutchinson.

He's right in line with a veteran offensive guard in salary. Don't blame him because Graves turned his 2012 salary into bonus and blew out his cap charge.

I'm not blaming the player. And his cap hit this season is 7.25m according to both sites.

Well, don't confuse his cap hit with what he's being paid. Choose your words accurately.

HES MAKING 7+ MIL THIS SEASON. Not sure how I could've been more clear.

Hell even if he's cut he'll get that. I'm not blaming Colledge at all, if anything he has the GOAT agent getting him a 28M contract in the first place.

No. No, he is not.

http://www.overthecap.com/cap.php?Name=Daryn Colledge&Position=G&Team=Cardinals

His cap charge this season is $7.275M.

His 2013 salary is $3.8M.
He's due a 2013 roster bonus of $2.275M.
He has a 2013 workout bonus of $200K.

You know that all these things are different, right? If he plays this season, he'll "make" $6.275M. If he is cut before that roster bonus kicks in, he'll make $0 from the Arizona Cardinals.

Yes you're correct, sorry. I'm caught up in the hit rather his actual earnings. I'm concerned about what it means to us, not him.

I should've worded it differently and will do so from now on...

Ahh i'm confused again. As to Colledge directly, what about his remaining signing bonus?

His remaining signing bonus is accounted for entirely in the 2013 cap. That's the "Dead money" that the site refers to.

But Colledge has already received his initial signing bonus, and his 2012 re-structure bonus. So if he's cut, we don't have to pay him anymore.

Yep there it is. Okay I'm good for now. :)

They have us nearly 8.8m under the cap right now. Once Kolb is released/re-structured we could be nearly 15m under, enough to lock up one of our FA DB's and maybe Groves.

We start dealing with Levi, Synder and Lyle next year. Vicious cycle this salary stuff.
