If PP doesn’t get suspended are we 8-8?

I get the thought but quite honestly this team wasn’t quite ready to win. Kyler and Kliff have grown immensely.

I think the biggest thing was the time it takes to evaluate players and teammates. Kliff now knows what he has in each player. Their strengths and weaknesses and where we need to improve.

Maybe if we had both our starting corner's to start the season, things may have been different?

I think we’d obviously be a better team without those roster losses, but this team still had to grow in a lot of ways. I’d say we’d have picked up another win here or there. We have looked really terrible at points this season, and not just on account of personnel. Coaching was to blame too.

Let’s finish strong tomorrow!

My point is that VJ isn’t going anywhere, nor should he.

Talent wise name a defensive roster that is worse than what we fielded on average the last 15 weeks.

I don’t think I could, but I do question how something wasn’t done about the TE all season too, by scheme. I can accept bringing back VJ but I don’t think any of us will feel great about it, unlike how we started to feel about Bowles.

All in all we still were not going to make the playoffs and the injuries I think also allowed this coaching staff to see what we have and give the young players and some of the newly acquired guys valuable experience... and for an added bonus we have a better draft position lol

We didn’t have any jimmy or joes that can cover tight ends (and you usually need a few to ensure you’re not susceptible to motions and coverage changes).

It’s that simple. Didn’t matter what we schemed, our guys just suck.

I do not think it has something do with our guys 'suck' due to the fact that any TE was producing against us, but more of a coaching scheme which made things too dang complex or putting for instance a DE in coverage

Imagine if we had scored more points then every opponent lol

Imagine if the defense didnt allow more points.

Honestly, if the D played at least close to how well they are playing the last 2 games, this could be a 9-7 team at least.

Combination of two things: 1) Personnel - the 2019 Cardinals didn't have a single LB that could pass cover worth a damn. 2) Pick your poison - yes, they might have adjusted scheme to better account for the opponents TE; but this would create weaknesses elsewhere. I believe is was a conscious choice that it is preferable to have a TE, verses a WR or RB, running free in the secondary! At least you can hope someone (an off defender) can catch up to the TE. . .

I was ready for the Cardinals to fire VJ about halfway through the season, but have to realize that the Cardinals D were playing with a shorted deck the entire season. FIX IT, Keim!
