Would you look at making an offer to Rasheed Wallace? He could play center with the Shaq less West and would be very effective in our run and gun play? May have issues that the Suns don't want but might have shown last year he is past that??? Just a thought.

The probability that Wallace would sign with Phoenix is zero. There would be no point wasting time by making an offer.

We'll have to watch that Kittles to the Clippers deal. It makes sense if the Nets are in salary dump mode. Kittles would probably be a better fit for the Clippers than Q since he is a better outside shooter and comes off contract next summer.

With Martin gone the Nets might see the deal with Portland for SAR more attractive.

It will all become clear in two weeks

If the Clippers match... it will likely means Kittle will be traded to another team

If the Clippers dont match... it will likely mean that Kittle will become a Clipper for probably a protected first round pick

I just hope the Kittle situation ends quickly so the Suns will have time to think of an alternate plan in case the Clippers match (maybe pitch an offer to Dampier?)

Maybe. SAR is more expensive $14.6 million to Kittl'es $9.8 million. To match salaries, the Nets would have to throw in Arron Williams, which seems unlikely.

looking at the history of sterling i think we still have a very good chance of getting q. heck we can make the clippers a deal that cheapskate sterling would like casey for q. this frees us up about a million. sterling is happy because he is cheap and is only looking out for how little money he can spend and casey is a draw who has a good fan base in southern calf.

Moreover, it will not be very expensive to resign Kittles next season if they want. The crazy amount of cap space this year's teams have will be mostly gone, so it's likely a starting salary slightly above the MLE will get Kittles.

At this point I would be surprised if the Blazers wouldn't demand at least one of the Nets' newly acquired 1st rounders.
Else what is the point of trade for POR?

People have been writing off the Blazers, but they had 50 wins a year ago and I think they have better team right now. Their only real weakness is SG. I think they are going to be a lot stronger team than anyone gives them credit for.

I don't get it where I was writing off the Blazers.

About "their only real weakness" : I just don't see Kittles as a big improvement over Anderson.

Derek Anderson shot 37.6% last season (career of 41.3%). Kittles shot 45.3% (career 44%) and is a better defender. Both are very expensive, but Kittles is a lot better player IMHO.

A lot of Kittles' points are coming from fastbreaks what deflects a bit their FG%'s comparison.
Anderson is a better passer and one-on-one player.

I do not think that Kittles is a "much better" (if at all) player than Anderson.

Derek Anderson's only problem is with his health. Otherwise he's a complete player while Kittles is just a shooter, though a good one at that.
