What? An NFL team in Los Vegas? And the NFL says it is concerned about player safety. What better way to destroy a life than to turn young men, who have enough trouble controlling themselves, loose with lots of money in a town like that.

IF Vegas gets an NFL team, the population is going to sore with prostitutes, loan sharks, drug pushers, and every kind of con woman and man in the world. What would attract them more than a weekly influx of rich football players out for fun on a nightly basis. Could you imagine if the 90's Cowboys with Irvin and Sanders and the gang were roaming Vegas every night?

What the hell is the league thinking? They are going to have to chaperone every player at all times there. There are going to be many more young football lives destroyed having to live and be in Vegas all the time.

First of all its Las Vegas and not Los Vegas. Second, how is it the NFL's responsibility for the players personal life. If they screw up, it's the players fault, not the NFL's. Third, isn't Vegas already soured with all that you mentioned already? A NFL team won't change that.

NFL in Las Vegas will not change a thing except traffic on game day.

The players in the NFL have the means to travel to Vegas anytime. Gambling, drug pushers, loan sharks and prostitutes can be found in any city. I tend to give the players more credit then you do.

The NFL has stepped up the Rookie classes assisted by ex NFL players in order to help them through the journey. Does it always work? Nope. But you always hope they turn out like Walter Payton, JJ Watt, or a Kurt Warner, for example.

would also have to move seattle to the AFC and Oakland to the NFC. Dont see that happening personally even though that would be ncie to have away games so close twice a year (LA and NV)

I would guess that they'd schedule an annual preseason game on years the NFC West and AFC West aren't already scheduled.

(They've been doing that for the most part anyway.)

I have friends that live in the Vegas area and most rarely ever go to the Strip.

There are nice neighborhoods and communities and plenty of other ways to occupy your time.

The biggest change I see happening as a result of this move would be more celebrity/athlete photo ops at the airport for Shane.

I live in Vegas and this is nonsense. The huge bulk of Vegas is essentially the same as Phoenix. Players can get into just as much trouble in Scottsdale as they can in Vegas, really.

The morality argument is silly here.

I lived in Vegas for work for over a year(still lived in AZ, but company rented a house) and Vegas felt like PHX/Chandler/Gilbert. The only thing that was different is when you went to the convenience stores, there would be slot machines in it. That's it.
