I am not even sure that the team will draft Luck if he is available. It would not be like the Cardinals to draft him with the huge investment that they have in Kolb. Besides this regime cannot develop him properly anyway. The Cards will probably take a pass rusher before they take a tackle and I would probably agree with that. A good team would consistantly give help to the tackles if they were consistantly having trouble, but this staff does not see it that way.

With how inconsistent Kolb has been, I would not be shocked if the Cardinals drafted a QB in the first round. I would like Kalil or Martin because it means that Kolb has produced, but Kolb's salary sure doesn't make him untouchable.

The facts are that you can't be bad at the QB position if you want to win in this league. That, along with the decreased salaries at the top of the draft, could lead to more 1st round QBs going forward.

not a fan of Barkley. he's incredibly over-rated IMO.

He has always reminded me of Jimmy Clausen -- and I predict a similar NFL fate.

he's not big (6'2), doesn't have a big-time arm and has been pretty hit or miss on the biggest stage.

If the FO takes a WR next year than everyone should be fired including Michael Bidwill.

If I ever hear you complain about us taking Levi Brown then you should be fired. Cardinals fans all swear by BPA because of the Levi situation, but then if the staff actually goes BPA they throw a fit. If Blackmon is the BPA when we draft I have no problem taking him. I do not want to reach for a LT if he is not elite enough to be taken in the top 5 (which is where we will be drafting). There is not an OLB prospect worth taking in the top 5 let alone the top 10-15 at this point in the college season.

However, if Luck, Kalil, and Blackmon are drafted and there is no other player we like available I would be ALL for accepting a trade similar to the one Atlanta worked with Cleveland. A 2012 1st, 2nd, and 4th with a '13 1st and 4th rounder? Hell freakin yes I'd take that in a heartbeat. We could move back and take what would likely be one of if not the most elite OLB's in the draft or find one of the not quite elite OT's. Then we would have a second rounder to work with. And another 1st rounder next year.

Usually only if they disagree with the player selected being BPA.

Since we aren't getting Luck my draft board looks like this...

1. Kalil
2. Blackmon
3. ?

Martin and Reiff are nice i just hope we don't reach on them like we did Levi. This draft seriously sucks. Hopefully we can trade back with a team like Cincy who bites on Trent Richardson. They have lots of picks the next 2 years.

Courtney Upshaw, I honestly think we will pick up a couple wins and fall outside of the top 5, somewhere in that 6-10 range.

Which is every time the team goes BPA, so it's guaranteed bitching.

Well of course. There are 100s of people who post here. No way everybody agrees with the selection. BPA or not.

If we draft Matt Barkley there will be riots. Dude is a softer version of Mark Sanchez. And if we pass on Andrew Luck there will be same said riots followed up by mass suicides.

One thing is for sure is that we need to get a QB on day one.

If it's not Luck I don't think we draft Barkley. Probably a wasted pick on a QB in round 3.

If Kalil or Martin are available, you take either one of them, hands down. Tackles are much more valuable than WR's, and Blackmon might be the next Crabtree. This team is in desperate need of at least an average tackle, and Kalil/Martin are graded very high in pass protection, plus they are both good at run blocking. A formidable WR can be found through FA.

Where is the QB? You could draft anyone you want but until we have a legit QB it really does not matter who you draft.

I'm not a fan of Kolb, but we did just give him a huge contract, so like it or not, he is our QB until further notice. Personally, I want Luck more than anything, but the chances of us getting him are slim. The most glaring need on this team is OT/OLB, and there are no OLB worth a top 10 pick in this draft, so OT will be our priority.

Upshaw is a reach in the top 10, most draft boards I see have him going in the mid-20's. Barring a miracle, I don't see anyway we pick past #5 :(

Upshaw is definitely a reach in the top 10. Pass rushers are incredibly difficult to project...

If we have the #1 or #2 pick, definitely take Luck, Kalil in that order.

I however really do think we won't be picking in the top five. Based on whatever draft guy you read there are some tackles that alos project as top 10 guys (guy from Stanford, guy from Iowa).

However, this guy from Alabama can play standing up. He does have the burst to get around the edge but he also has the size to take on blockers. He isn't just a speed guy like Von Miller. I think that he will climb the draft boards after the seasons and after he goes through the Senior bowl and the combine.

I wonder how many other teams fans start talking about the draft in October almost every year.

how did this team pass on Suggs and Peterson? Can you imagine the difference those two guys would have made on this team over the years?

And this doesn't warrant a "oh, we should have drafted brady in the sixth round" retort. Both of those picks were BLATANTLY obvious picks at positions of extreme need and both were electric talents.

I can't fault them on Leinart, DRC, Beanie, Rolle or Williams, even if very few of those guys panned out for us, but good lord, passing on the other two guys AND taking the relative crap they did was just dumbfounding.
