If the Hawks pick lands in the 4-6 range, who would you want?

Who's Bayless?

Big time recruit from Phoenix, maybe the best prep player to ever come out of AZ.

Whatever teams get picks 1 & 2 are not going to trade them for anything.

I'm not sure I want Shakur on the Suns, he doesn't seem like a true PG (as in, pass first), and from the limited amount I've seen of him, he's not a great shooter. Plus, he's a Wildcat- ick.

What the hell are talking about? Shakur is the second best PG in the draft. Look at his numbers. The Suns need to draft a PG and with the glut of big men in the draft the Suns should try to get at least 2 of them and get a PG.

14.4 PPG>4.4 RBS>7.6 Assts>1.5 ST>.538 FG%>.800 FT%>.395 3pt%

His Assists have gone up almost 3 more per game this year than last because he has SHOOTERS around him. What does Nash have around him? Shooters. He is a perfect fit for the Suns.

And by the way.....GO CATS!!!!!

Who's Bayless?

Jerryd Bayless is a 5-star prospect out of St. Mary's HS here in Phoenix. He's projected to be a lottery pick in the '08 draft (not that it means much). Budinger and Bayless know eachother really well and want to play together for at least one year down at U of A. That's why I'm skeptical that Chase declares this year. But of course there is a lot of time between now and the NBA draft.

If Durant continues to impress as he has so far this year, there is no way that any team in the league is going to trade either of the top two picks in this summer's draft, for any package, period, end of story.

Since I barely watch college basketball unless I happen to notice a game on that features an bigtime NBA prospect, I looked at all these guys numbers. College numbers can be deceiving but Oden and Durant are in another world compared these other guys.

There are so many forwards with similar numbers that we just have to hope the Suns select the correct one and get lucky. There may be an Elton Brand or two, but there will likely be several Samaki Walkers.

If Atlanta ends up with the 3rd pick, I won't be too crestfallen because the Suns could miraculously end up with the first pick next year (OJ Mayo or someone?). However, if the Hawks get Durant or [especially] Oden, they will have to be better next year. I don't know that Durant would be any better than Josh Smith next year, but you have to figure one or two of those young guys will start playing much better.

If the Hawks do get Oden or Durant, look for them to trade some of their younger talent for veteran players to go along with him. JC was always so good at putting a mix of vets and youth on the floor in order to stay competitive. You don't win win all youngsters, and you eventually break down with all oldsters.

like most of you i fear that the hawks end up with either the 1st or 2nd pick. oden and durant will make that team immediately 20 games better. if they end up with the 3rd pick i think they're marginally better, and it may not be better enough to show up in the standings and we'd have a shot at oj.

i love noah, horford, and think branden wright can be a stud. i'm not sold on julian wright. i really like dominic james as a young pg to groom for the future, but he's a "tweener" for us in this draft. not good enough for the high hawks pick and won't last 'til cleveland's or our pick. another tweener that i'd hoped would last to one of our later picks is corey brewer. he's dynamite. i really think he could be scottie pippen II. unfortunately, he's been playing lights out and i think he'll go in the early-mid teens.

you know who else i like that falls into limbo? taureen green. kid plays tough d, is leading the gators in scoring, and is a terrific leader. but again, he may not be worth a first (maybe our pick?) and won't last 'til our late second rounder.

just say "no" to mcroberts, yi, fazekas, hansbrough, and rush. and i think thabeet looks like a a very young dikembe. the problem? he needs the 30 years of aging that mutumbo had as a freshman.

I think Altlanta would be crazy not tank this season. They are a terrible unit who are going nowhere fast. So missing out on this deep draft will hurt them hugely.
I fully expect them to absolutly tank the last months. Look for Joe Johnson to take his summer holidays in March.

What's the score on hansbrough and rush? I can understand not wanting the others.

The thing is, if the Hawks are dumb enough to tank the season, there are probably another 10 teams that are dumb enough to do it too.
