Thanks Kurt, you did something I thought I would never see in my lifetime.
You took the Cards to a Super Bowl, and almost won it.

I can't believe some don't think he is a first ballot lock for the HOF..

He spent most his time in the NFL playing for what WAS two of the league's cellar dwellers, and ended up in the big dance THREE times, even winning one.

Easily one of the best QB's the game has ever seen, and most definitely the best man it's ever had.

Thanks again Kurt.

p.s If you want to come back next year, that would be cool to. :D

Well, he's certianly going to get an earful from his wife and oldest daughter to hang it up now.

I'm guessing he comes back.

She's earned the right. In my opinion Brenda Warner did one of the bravest things imaginable today, sit (or stand) by and watch someone you love get beat on.

I hope Kurt returns, he made football fun for Cardinal fans but I also would like to thank his family for sharing him with us.

Thanks #13!!! Hopefully there will be at least 1 more great season from you next season, but we as fans understand. You were greatness on the field, at camp and off the field as well. Two cities will always love you my man.

When Whisenhunt got here he talked about changing the culture of the Cardinals and I think Kurt played a huge role in teaching a bunch of guys who were used to losing how to play like winners. The last 2 years this team has had a swagger and confidence they never had before.

Well I waited until the run was over, but I would be very shocked if Kurt comes back. The word from his family is that he is done. I wouldn't blame him. He has way more people nipping at him than just his wife and kids.

I expect Kurt to hang it up and we all should be eternally thankful for what he has done for the organization.

Mr. Warner-------Thank you sooooo much for all you have done for this franchise and us fans. You are truly a man of distinction and class. I wish you the very best in whatever it is you choose to do. I hope that would mean another run for a SB here with the Big Red, but if that is not in the Cards, then God be with you, and may he care for you and your famiily like you have cared for others. God bless you sir.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
If this is indeed Kurt's last game, and I had the chance to say something to the man:

Kurt,

Thanks for an incredible career. Your dedication to things on and off the football is an inspiration to all. Your personal story of going through adversity is a story many look to and gain strength from.

Thank you for the incredible games; the last second wins; and giving us fans the chance to see a great football player on the field. Thank you for all the good work you do off the field with your foundation. Thanks for being you.

I wish nothing but continued success for you and your family as you move on from football, and I hope that your years on this earth are long and prosperous. I hope that your foundation flourishes so that you can continue to do great works. And though it is now over, I hope that you receive the acknowledgment and appreciation of your career by enshrinement in Canton.

We're going to miss you Kurt.

Vaya Con Dios.

Could Kurts realtionship with Leinart & his desire to want to see the kid get his chance at success play a part in Warner's decision?

I have no idea what he'll do but either way I appreciate everything he's done for this team the last 2 years. If he does retire, I hope the Cards find a position for him in the organization, if he wants it of course.

Kurt's probably the only guy I know of that would even possibly think like that.

I don't think that'll be the deciding factor but he probably thinks some about it.

You really can't factor that in, but again if there is one guy who would it'd be Kurt.

Just a few years ago, he wanted an honest chance to get a starting job. And just last year, he wanted a substantial contract to play for more than one year. Well, he has all he wants and has been to the play-offs ( 1 SB) the last two years. I really don't think he is retiring after all the hard work.

Sorry, I don't care how many mixed messages he gives or how many "sources" say he is retiring , he will be back...bank on it.

In his presser he said he "doesn't expect it to be a long drawn out decision"
That leans more towards retirement imo.

I almost started a new thread but what really happens if Kurt retires?

Can the Cards sign a free agent for the same money Kurt was due under this weird top8 team rule?
