It’s like being in a relationship can’t make someone love you. He’s 29 and doesn’t know if he wants to stick around for a rebuild.

Guys on here bitch and complain about players all the time about not caring enough and being about money. The second one of OUR guys says hey I want to go somewhere and win he’s a cry baby
Someone towards the back end of the first will offer a first for him. PP has been a class act and a luxury a rebuilding team should consider moving with a legit offer. 1st and ??

IF the Cards are rebuilding, why do you sign Suggs?

Unless PP is some locker room cancer (hard to believe) -- with two reasonably priced years left on his deal -- why do you want to trade him?

this makes no sense whatsoever

It would have to be a very good offer. Not just giving him away. A 1st and a competent replacement.

Of all the possibilities taking Murray & trading Peterson would end any chance for this team to be relevant for years. Look at how hard it’s been for the Cards to get a CB to play opposite Peterson. Imagine them trying to replace him. This combination of actions would take the Cards from potentially a long term top defense to mediocrity on both sides of the ball. It would be time to send Keim packing but MB wouldn’t figure that out until he sees the disaster unfold. By then you could put MB right up there with Dollar Bill among the most incompetent owners ever.

This defense has been overrated for at least 2 years. IMHO.

This has got to be the dumbest post EVER on any message board
You'd love to trade Peterson .... Wow
Other than Chandler Jones he's the only guy any team fears.
DJ and his 53 yards a game is not relevant and PP has only shut down every WR he's ever faced one on one....your dumb coach, Wilks, put him in zone last year and he still balled out. He was a tackling machine....for a CB he put his head in there where 99% wouldn't.
yea you want to trade him....send him to LA we'll give you a 3rd round pick seeing you don't want him.
You are a Chargers fan from Yuma so I can't take anything you say seriously. You are a fan of one of the most despised and hated teams in Los Angeles and the state of California, and to make matters worse, you choose to put that idiotic profile pic to represent yourself on a Cardinals message board of all things.

But just to respond to your idiotic comment, yes I think that trading a diva, malcontent, hall of fame CB and getting a haul of compensation while you can, especially when your team is the worst team in the NFL and needs to rebuild, is a great idea. I am not delusional about where this team stands or what it needs. Patrick Peterson is a great player with one playoff win, he is a massive pain in the ass off the field, and he can net a ton in a trade. I would trade him all day every day given the current situation.

Enjoy your 16 game road schedule for the "Los Angeles" Chargers next year.

Defenses are more volatile season-to-season than offenses are, generally. That may be changing some, though. That said, it does seem like this defense if further along the development curve than the offense is.

This is about money. Peterson's guaranteed money just ran out; I mentioned this last season that he suddenly becomes a tasty trade asset this year. The players understand this is a business decision.

His favorite 2 coaches ever are in Tampa. BA needs to win now before he turns 80. Trade our 4th & PP for the 5th pick & draft Greedy Williams.
