Trade with SD, they take DD.

Picking 18th, you already know whose gone in the top 10. At 18, DD will be gone along with Ingram and Floyd.

Whos your pick?

Strictly BPA, Id take Kirkpatrick. Mercilus is an option. Im sure some will say Martin, Although I feel hed be bust even if we took him 83rd overall.

Glenn could be an option.

That 2nd rounder can be used on a host of options. Address WR or Oline.

I could be wrong but I see no way we trade down only 5 spots and pick up a 2d round pick in the process.

It could happen Longcolts, teams fall for a player and have done worst just to move up 5 spots. I agree it is not likely, but still a chance. Hate me for it but I say Mike Adams lol

Mike Adams isnt a bad pick. Would be a reach, but it wouldnt hurt as bad considering we had a 2nd rounder coming from it. IMO, if we must take a tackle, Id go Glenn.

Whys that? Historically any 1st round moves have always included a 2nd rounder. Not to mention this is at 13, not in the 20's. Positional #1's are still there.

Besides, this is just 1 scenario. 18 is probably the minimum team whod trade down so you know anyone above would be a 2nd rounder guaranteed.

Trade back options:
1. McCellin (Sp), the Boise OLB
2. Hill, the GT WR
3. Smith (?), the ND S
4. One of the OT's

Considering there are about 10 players people like at #13 going to #18 wouldn't be a bad deal at all. Any of those 10 who are left would work.

Some fun facts & opinions to confuse us all more. :)

Top drafted positions in the past ?? years is OT and DE - 24 each.
Next (IIRC) were WR and CB with about 17.
DT's were also up there.

I also read an article hypothesizing that OT's and O playes in general would fall in this draft due to many teams focusing on the D side of the ball.

As several have pointed out the NFLN crew have all stated that Glenn is a 2nd round talent that my go in the first round but that he would be a reach. Some say he is only an OG in the NFL and then maybe only the 3rd or 4th best prospect.

If we trade down to 18 or so and pick up a 2nd rounder then I say go BPA in the 1st which would probably be WR or on D and then go OT in the 2nd.

Wrs Wright or Hill, OT Glenn, or CB Kirkpatrick. If none of them are available i'd have to see who was to know who to pick.
