A) Are there enough quality free agents to spend our money on?

B) What will our receiving corps look like? Will it be enough?

A) Only if you want a bunch of role players and Depth

B) It will be decent until Boldin inevitably gets hurt for 4-6 weeks at which point we will only win games through our running game and defense.

why is boldin getting hurt inevitable? and especially for 6 weeks. one hip injury and the guys all of a sudden grant hill? he may get knicked up but hes a warrior. he will play throgh it. i dont think we should trade fitz, but boldin is not a liability IMO.

Because 2003 and 2006 are the only years Boldin hasnt missed time.. I love the guy to death too, but with his style of play, its not far fetched to think he will miss time due to injuries...

It will look like cow poop. And no it will not be enough.

Take out Fitzgerald and you have:

A.Boldin
J.Urban
S.Breaston
S.Morey

Heck, why don't we call up Brian Gilmore, Nathan Poole, and Larry Foster and see if they want to come back on the team ?

I'd like us to bring in Marques Douglas, DE and Jake Scott and Rex Hadnot, OG. Unfortunately I think all will be signed before we get the Fitz contract resolved.

I read today that Scott has agreed to terms with the Titans.

Also would be interested in Ty Law, if he agrees to a reasonable deal. His stats declined significantly last year, but part of the reason is because people ran the ball at will against the Chiefs. I doubt he'd be interested in signing for 2 mil a year w/some incentives, but if he did he'd be a great nickle back, and mentor for Green and draft pick.

We better figure this out soon. We still have Bryant Johnson and he is probably one of the better FA out there. We will be dumb to keep Fitz with no new contract and let him walk next year for nothing. Trade him now, keep Johson, and move on down the road. Life and football goes on with or without Fitz. Hope we learned a lesson in contract negotiating and that Murphy's Law still holds true.

Take Urban off the list. We did not tender him.

Johnson is not dog poo and he is already here if he has not signed with someone. I would look at keeping him if he wants to stay. He is the fastest receiver we have or had. What needs to happen is for Graves to make a decision on whether we are going to keep Fitz or not!!!!!!! After all this talk it should be evident to anyone but an idiot if he is going or staying. If we are going to keep him and not redo the contract then tell the world so we can all get on with our lives. If we are considering trading him then do it and do it quick so we can sign some free agents of quality if there are any left.
