If we get the #1 pick I dont think there is any chance we keep it.

I want Joe Thomas, we need pick 4-7 to land him. Depending on who picks in frount of us.

It's a no-brainer. If you can get Sean Taylor you get him. The guy is an absolute monster. A good FS also makes your CB's better and Taylor is ,by far, the best FS out there. There would not be one receiver that would'nt be looking over their shoulder going over the middle with Wilson and Taylor back there.

personally i like the trading down idea. trade down and gather more draft picks. i am a firm believer that you only spend 55 to 60 million dollars on proven players. because their isn't that many free agent that are going to cash in on number one pick money. plus you already know what those players are capable of doing. another thing is that you will get more maturity from season vets than from rookie players.

Isn't this eerily similar to the year we traded down from Ryan Leaf to take Andre Wadsworth? I think we will finish with a top 5 pick. The top 5 pics will be players at positions we don't need (QB, WR, RB). Although, I applauded the Wadworth trade, it didn't work out. I still believe it was a good move. I can see a similar move this year.

I don't think anyone in this draft will be as hyped as Manning and Leaf were. I hope I'm wrong, and we truly are in a strong position at or near the top of the draft.

I thought that the Wadworth trade was a great trade. We totally fleeced the San Diego Chargers in that deal. Just because Wads didn't work out doesn't mean the trade was a bad deal.
