now it is very possible both can not be had and Boldin is still a Cardinal because he has two more years but how he plans to act up next could beyond logic after playing almost all the possible cards of complaining on the Cardinals. But if money could change his mind, he still reports he has the friendship of his players and they him, and Boldin could be had for a price that is not as steep as Fitz and also doing so you could not offer more money than already on the table for Warner in the process...would you want Boldin if it would then mean we could not match an offer Warner would then accept against us from say the Niners and not be a Cardinal.

Maybe signing Boldin would go further than offering Warner more money if Warner's words on this salary importance carry any weight which is hard to accept fully on this recent turn of events of which no one is really sure what the players truly want...we could possibly have both and Warner at a cheaper price by simply funneling that money to Boldin instead as has be discussed so much already

Knowing I will be a Cardinal fan far past the two years Warner probably only has left in him as I always have been a Cardinal fan, I would personally rather have Boldin on the team than Warner. That is just me and I repect anyone who thinks otherwise, maybe another possible Superbowl appearance could be had with Warner and the vast surprise of the play of Breaston to take Boldin's place. I just see a stronger future with a happy Boldin on the team for the future haul if a choice of spending money would decide it and one could choose one over the other.

Boldin is under contract, so Boldin.

If Warner is shown the exit, they need Boldin and a new deal will get done, sooner rather than later, IMO.

I would be really surprised if both are shown the door. Maybe they get the deal they want. The WR class is deep so that hurts his trade value.

Boldin. With Leinart under center, he will need the crossing pattern and short route dominance of a Boldin to help him transition successfully.

I would rather have Boldin because he has more than 2 years left in the league.

I think you have to choose Warner, becuase if he leaves we get nothing in return, yet if Boldin gos we atleast get compensated. The question is really would you rather have Q or Warner and two first day draft picks/starer and 2nd rounder IMO.

What was our record without Boldin? People want to bitch about Kurt's contract demands, but seem to forget that Boldin wants Fitz money, which he isn't worth. In addition, committing 25% of our resources to the WR position when Kurt can turn Breaston into a 1,000 yard reciever is poor management of our available money. The step down from talent from Boldin to Breaston is far less than Warner to Leinart.

Exactly. Although I think Kurt is more important to this team in the short term, to have both Fitz and Boldin locked up for awhile makes the Cardinals dangerous for the long term (not just one or two more seasons). Also, we will finally get to see if we have anything in Leinart or not.

That said, I would prefer to keep both but that wasn't the question.

LOL, thank guys for the posts...I say Boldin personally because the years he still has left (and as I said, I like Warner a lot still), though his physical style of play still limits those years. As far as basing it on draft pick compensation, I get a little weary with that because those picks are not a sure thing...something tells me that if all the NFL teams knew one player in this years draft was a sure fire clone of Boldin and what he could once in the NFL...that guy would probably be the Lion's #1 pick regardless of need and their history of drafting WRs...the draft is such a crap shoot.
