I'd have to have Dick Butkus (Sp?) on my team. Also, don't forget Special Teams is more than just kickers/punters.

No he wouldn't.

Primetime is the best CB of all time.

Probably 5 to 7 CB's above AW on that list if I was ranking them.

I also think that if Fitz get to #2 in yardage and #1 in receptions, he's #2 all time in my book. I know it's a homer pick though.

Well, the post is leaning equally as much toward your favorite players out of the all time greats. Primetime may be best at one facet, but I personally don't care much for him in general and would rather have Williams on MY team because I like him and he is no slouch.

Fitz besides his stats deserves whatever place you want to give him on any all time list when you consider how long he has contributed year after year in so many ways besides the stats that are recorded.

I'll list guys I watched many of them were my heroes growing up, but some are to good to pass on now in today's game.

Qb Montana winner
Rb Sweetness alltime favorite player
Rb Barry Sanders could bring magic on any play
Lt Anthony Munoz so dominant
Lg Bruce Matthews not sure about position but could play everywhere every day and win matchup
C Mike Webster tough as nails
Rg Larry Allen dominate at point of attack
Rt Dan Dierdorf again tough as nails plays anywhere on the line and won
Te Kellen Winslow another all time favorite player mismatch nightmare
Wr Rice best I ever saw never got caught from behind
Wr Fitz heart and soul player that you need makes big plays when they count

De Reggie White made grown men look helpless
Dt Mean Joe played on edge of dirty love that
Dt Merlin Olsen always seemed to be in the right place every play
De Bruce Smith just to good to keep off my list
Olb LT best player I ever saw took over games defensively
Ilb Ray Lewis was to young to watch much Butkus big nod to Jack Lambert thou but Lewis was the best sideline to sideline ilb for a long time
Olb Von Miller I've watched guys get undervalued but this guy wrecks game plans
Cb Deion Sanders the best cover corner I saw
S Lott all time favorite type player
S AW homer pick one of my all time favorite players
Cb Darrell Green amazing speed undersized but all heart

P Ray Guy he made punting look like a cool thing lol
K to many options I like football not kicking so much lol

Great question.

There are so many great players that you can get paralysis from analysis. Plus "the best" at each position is debatable. I always go with what your philosophy would be:

QB: Steve Young
HB: Earl Campbell
TE: Rob Gronkowski
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Anquan Boldin
WR: Hines Ward
LT: Walter Jones
LG: John Hannah
OC: Jim Otto
RG: Larry Allen
RT: Jonathan Ogden

We are running the ball!

Hines Ward, never saw that one coming. Unusual pick.

Otto is a great pick.

QB: Tom Brady - the guy just wins no matter who he has around him.
RB: Walter Payton - My all time favorite running back
RB: Jim Brown - Maybe the best ever
WR: Larry Fitzgerald - homer pick but right up there with the best
WR: Jerry Rice - nothing needs to be said
TE: John Mackey - I think he redefined the position
LT: Anthony Munoz
LG: John Hannah
OC: Jim Otto
RG: Bruce Matthews
RT: Dan Dierdorf

DE: Reggie White
DE: Bruce Smith
DT: Allen Page
DT: Curley Clup
OLB: Lawrence Taylor
OLB: Derrick Thomas
ILB: Brian Urlacher
CB: Night Train Lane
CB: Charles Woodson
FS: Larry Wilson
SS: Ronnie Lott

I think no matter what team anyone puts together it would be one fantastic team. Too many choices and not enough spots to put them.

Love the Curly Culp pick. He was a beast! So many great players. Impossible to argue with any of these selections.

Otto is a great pick.

My wide receivers are going to knock people around as well as catch the ball and run with power.

Very physical offense. Fits my philosphy
