For those of you on the west coast, you'll probably wake up to hearing about Maurice Clarett. He was arrested again early this morning.He made an illegal turn and the cops stopped him. He refused to get out of the car and led them on a chase.Once he was apprehended, the cops found an assault rifle plus some other hand guns in his car to go along with a open bottle of Grey Goose(which lends credecnce to the story about one of the main reasons of why he was cut in Denver). I can see carrying a pistol for protection but why would you be driving around with an assault rifle in the backseat? I can't believe i jocked and hyped this guy for so long and thought he'd be THE premier guy in an NFL backfield,hopefully for the Cards,. Thus, the reason for: I'm an idiot.

One of the local morning sports shows had on his new coach (some tiny indoor football league back East). He was singing Clarrett's praises--how he's grown up, how he was being pulled in a bunch of different directions because of his "advisors," how he was a "hero" in Ohio, how he's past all of his past problems.

Sucks to have to eat those words. The guy was really passionate about it, and I'll bet he was telling anyone he could. Also, the guy was invested in the league (literally--I think he was a majority owner in the team), so I think he was counting on Clarrett to be a big draw. Bummer.

The only thing that I can think of is a shooting range. Although anytime I went, I never had a bullet proof vest on either. Who knows with this kid. Him wearing a vest is the only thing that stands out to me as being strange. The only other thing is maybe the guns were not his or that they were loaded. I know that if you are carrying guns in your car, they are not aloud to be loaded unless you have a permit. Either way, it's dumb to run from the law in most cases because they will just come down harder on you for it.
