Ya'll are absurd. I'm as much as a 'homer' as anyone. If you can't see this team is REALLY BAD...you aren't watching the games.

They've had 1 good quarter of offense in 12 quarters....and 11 F- quarters
The defense has had 2 good quarters in 12 quarters...and 11 D quarters

They were blown out by Detroit and Dallas (we were there...the stands emptied midway through the 4th quarter)
They squeaked by the Colts

Other than hope ...what in the world would make you say this is a competent team.

Either you guys are super high or super homers because there isn't jack to say this team will be in the hunt.

I'd bet that SF wins Sunday

Okay ... realisticly the O had 1 A quarter 1 B- 3 C and 7F quarters
The D had 2 A 2B about 4C and 3D and 1F quarter
ST had about ... 1D quarter and 11 F quarter

But at some point after 3 games you can't start counting crows and talk the remainding 14 gamedays about the QB you should draft next year.

We all most get that if the team plays like it did the last 3 games, and maybe more the last 23 games, they will not go anywhere.

If nothing changes, we maybe win another 3-7 games. If they lose on sunday it may be more like 2 games. The only hope is that, winning 8 could be enough this year in the NFC West.

We will see 14 gamedays ahead.

So drink a beer and hope for the best.

but do you really wanna go 8-8...??

so we squeak by a few games and somehow actually win the division at 8-8...or even 7-9..

what does that get us really?? The ol' anything can happen in the playoffs?? Its true, anything can happen... but odds and history will tell you the 7-9 team is getting bounced in round one..but hey, maybe they win a playoff game..awesome, always exciting!!
then next year we draft at 27, pick a WR who was rated fifth best at his position, sign alex smith (who takes a couple years to learn the offense,...as he is getting older still) and turn in to the cleveland browns for the next five years....all the while wondering when this organization is going to take the leap and go get us a franchise qb and wondering if it will ever get better

100%. The division can still be won and we can improve and get healthier as the season comes along. The only way we will be out is if another team gets a death grip on the season and/or we lose division games.

If the Cards lose to SF this weekend, you can pretty much say the season is done. A 1-3 start is tough to over come.

Do you actually believe that the players and coaches have given up after 3 games?....and you think Palmer, Fitz, Ellington, Peterson, Badger, Jones, Golden, Branch, Peters, etc are not capable of competing in the NFC West? The NFC west?? You think only 2 more wins??? Wow! I've watched the Cards play for 43 years and this team, although currently in a slump is more talented with more potential than most, especially the D.
2 more wins means 3-13, I could be mistaken but I don't recall any Cardinal team winning only 3 games, so your saying this team against this division is The worst team ever?
Talk about pessimism!
I'm getting depressed reading some of these posts.
Just 1.2 seasons ago we were all praising BASK, now half are ready to fire the entire Staff and blow the ship up!

I think the team gave up week 17 of 2015.... at the very least the coaching staff completely lost them at that point

Was tempted to take them in my survivor pool but opted for GB instead. If we drop this game we are truly awful and should blow this damn thing up

I haven't given up either but they have to improve, greatly.

In their defense, they are playing without their starting left side of the OL and, more importantly, probably their 3 most dynamic players on offense are all on the shelf in DJ, John Brown, and Logan.

If they can tread water for about 4 more week, 2-2, I think they can make a late season push.

We are a shell of the 2015 playoff team.

THe Cards unability to adjust to the BOys defensive AND offensive schemes makes me think this is all on coaching.

The Boys adjusted in the 2nd QUARTER, they didnt even wait till halftime. While the Cards were still doing deep drop backs on a passs rush that was destroying their OLine.

When that touchdown was taken back and the Pukes scored, I knew the game was over because the coaches on the Pukes showed to adjust when needed and the Cards didn't even BOTHER to follow suit. THis lost was on BA PERIOD.

Can you also give me the lottery numbers for this week? At 27 you can also draft a Rodgers, Wilson, Carr, so picking number 1 overall doesn't guarantee success, so to answer your question....I take 8 -8 over 7-9 or worse.

I just hope we will evolve into winning like Seattle seems to always do. Start out crappy and then gain momentum and wins.

we could also trade our first five picks for carne asada tacos and then draft Tom Brady with whats left...
but I prefer to play the odds

Not with this current regime and their draft history in the 1st and 2nd round.

I'm right there with ya.
I'm already regretting purchasing
we got one of our 4 out next season and I'm thinking next year will be my last. It's not worth the cost when the race is over in November.
