Maybe Arians' plan all year was to slowly work Spoon in and keep him fresh? Correctly me if I am wrong, but you never heard Arians call out Spoon like he would others for not being in shape or playing up to their ability.

He did miss training camp. As of right now, he is similar to Minter, just not hitting the correct holes or getting to the QB. I think Minter has been playing well, just not as well as we would want a LB to play though.

Our LB's are the biggest hole on the entire team. I think it speaks to the players in the other positions as well as the DC that the Cards have as good of defense as they do considering this glaring weakness.

I would feel better if say the Cardinals were sitting on seven in a row and beat Seattle in Seattle. But that can't happen.

Spoon has been getting 25% of Minter's reps for 2 weeks, and I'm assuming passing downs, so I think we are seeing a shift for the rest of the season. Maybe Minter isn't able to hold up (speed wise) for a full season. So instead of pulling Minter on passing downs and adding Bucannon (original plan?), we are pulling Minter and adding Spoon - a big testament to Bucannon, really.

Minter's been ceding reps to Weatherspoon and Fua the last several weeks. Maybe the coaches are seeing something you don't.

I imagine that Minter's incredible deficiencies in the passing game are making it more and more difficult to hide him for whatever he brings to the table in run support.

He's been such a terrible blitzer that I think the team is looking for alternatives that are superior to just throwing your shoulder into the nearest blocker.

I have no problem getting Minter off the field in passing situations. But, with the under-sized Buccanon playing the other ILB position, I want Minter in there in running situations.

I'm not saying cards are a bad team. I think they are a damn good team, just Seattle has gotten better since they played them. I really can't wait to see the cards play them again but they have turned a corner. The cards are an awesome team and now how to win. I wasn't at all concerned with Seattle until the last few games.

I get you. I was in a really bad mood this morning, I had an early appt so I took a nap lol. I feel much more agreeable now. :D

Lol I know.....taking away Carolina.....we have the longest winning streak in the NFL along with Kansas city......we have beaten 3 top 9 teams in the process...(Seattle, cincy and Minnesota) and we are picked by many to be the best team in the NFC and some have said the NFL.....ESPN asked whom is the best team in the NFC....And even with the Panthers and Seattle dismantling teams.....they picked Arizona.....we STILL haven't played a great game this year!!! Think about that

I only know one thing about the NFL:

its a week to week league.

As much as we (and the media) want to kid ourselves that we can predict how things will go next week based on ......

1. how a team looked the last two weeks, or,
2. team A beat that team by 3 tds on the road, and we beat team A, so therefore...........
3. whatever other analysis you feel like

you cant.

Record disparity is the best predictor, but that is something like 65%..

I think when two good teams play each other ( lets call it .625 winning % or better), it comes down to a pick 'em game. Homefield really helps.

The playoffs are a month away. We don't play Seattle until the last game of the regular season. Right now our concern should be on Philadelphia, and NO ONE ELSE. If we go there and beat them, (even by one point), next Sunday night, we clinch our division. GO CARDS, BEAT PHILLY

Not true. We don't have to beat them by any points. A tie clinches too! :D

Let's look at --- WHO ELSE HAS DONE THAT ????

Palmer has already set a season record 31 TD passes .
Arians has coached the Cardinals to 3 in a row double digit win seasons !!
This Sunday ; opportunity for Arians to coach Cards to " 12 " reg. season wins .
Opportunity for Palmer to QB the Cards to " 12 "reg. season wins .

MB and BASK have built a team of Sharks here folks , and they smell blood in the water !!

Won't this be the first time in team history that that will win 12 games in one season?

Hey! Shaggy....

I hear ya' and your concern is valid...BUT, I would encourage you to...STAY IN THE MOMENT...and ENJOY IT! I think each of us on here could "list" 10 "positives" about the Cardinals of today. Hey, I get the...IF we DON'T win it all it's a wasted year, etc, etc. FACT: ONLY 1 team will hoist the Lombardi...EVERYONE else finishes second.

WE have as good a shot as ANYONE in the field...and the really cool thing is that when you say that to another NFL fan they don't immediately pull out their phone and call the guys in the white suits! They simply...NOD.

ENJOY IT ALL, bud! :)

Mark :)

OKAY! Back to BASK-ing! :D

I could care less about Seattle now. If the two teams meet in the PO's lets rehash this thread. I don't even care about the regular season game. It'll be meaningless by then, hopefully.

Cards just need to beat the Pack.

I'm loving every minute of this. This has been one if not the best season I have been a Cards fan. I love how they are top ranked in Offense and top 5 in D. I love how they are breaking several franchise records. I love how they have been on top of the NFCW through out the whole season. Even if they don't make the big game, I am still happy with how they have played this year.
