I'm not suggesting that we get excited at the possibility of picking from Portland's castoffs, but I think this guy is worth consideration if he doesn't get taken up elsewhere. He's hard-nosed and productive from what I've seen. Not spectacular at any one thing but a solid player. Just a thought.

I would tend to agree. From what I've seen, he's a good defender that won't hurt you while he's on the floor; he's solid depth. Unfortunately I don't think the Suns have any minutes at the 3 at all.

No mintues left at the 3 spot? Are u kidding me?

DIAW and MARION will be so busy playing center and power forward, that the 3 sport will be left ONLY for Grant Hill. A Grant Hill that will require regular nights off and time to ice his knees and ankles. Orlando did the same with him. He'd play 25 minutes one night and rest the next.

The small forward is WIDE open to another player. Suns really need a MATT BARNES, POSEY, or UDOKA on top of another big like SKINNER, ELY, or BROWN.

This dude can hit the three from the corner. And he plays like Raja.

I would go after him.

Just once I would like to see you put up a post with the anything in All-Caps, bolded, and/or different colors.

The Phoenix Suns just used 2 draft picks to shed Kurt Thomas's $8 million salary. I know you actually believe this nonsense about getting rid of him to play faster, but there's no way they are going to spend the money it will take to get one of the guys you listed. They may spend a paltry amount on a big. They aren't going to spend the money it will take to get any of those swingmen though.

Say it ain't so Joe. I know your probably right but I need hope. :)

I would settle if the Suns spent a paltry amount on a couple of bigs. However, I'm also getting the feeling Marion will be out of here next season if he opts out. If true, the Suns could afford to bite the bullet on some LT for one season.

Based on last season's stats, Udoka would appear to be promising although he did nothing his first two seasons. But the fact that the Blazers prefer James Jones at SF makes me wonder what's going on.

First off, where in my previous post above do u see ALL CAPS, COLOR, OR BOLD? I surely don't. There select words in all caps, and those are only last names. Everyone does the same on this forum with regard to last names.

You just seem to have some stupid grudge against me. So cool it, Mod.

Secondly, you don't need to lecture me on the Suns fincacial situation because I too, like everyone else here, knows the Suns don't have any money and Sarver isn't willing to pay another penny.

However, last I checked this thread was called UDOKA and I decided to put my two cents regarding he and other small forwards.

Why don't u scroll up and lecture the guy who created this thread, panfolk, who suggested "I think this UDOKA is worth consideration" all about how Suns don't have any money and all the wonderful things u just told me?

Got it, Joe? Good.

Just relax cause this is getting old with you trying to provoke arguments with me all the time...

Okay, Panfolk gets a slap on the hand, too - though if he did all cap Udoka originally, its now changed.

You all capped the word 'wide' and Barnes' first name, too - contrary to your claim.

Why don't you try this experiment - stop trying to help us understand what you're saying with the use of caps, etc. and see if anyone complains that they are having trouble grasping what you mean. I'll give big odds you won't get anything but thanks.

Of course, your intent may be to annoy rather than assist but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt at this point...

You're not understanding the arugment and therefore should refrain from participating.

Our beloved Mod specifically said - if u happen to scroll above - that I type in "All-Caps, Bold, and Color."

I argue that not only did I not type bold or color above, but I did not even do ALL-CAPS with exception to LAST NAMES just as most people here. (Some even type SUNS in all caps).

Which brings me to the next issue: What is the world is wrong with typing the name UDOKA or BARNES in all-caps?

It is pathetic to see some of you taking such a small thing like caps on NBA last names and turn it into a fiasco.

Waaay too much time on your hands, buddy. Both you and the Mod.

I suggest u relax, drink some tea, and back off from all my posts. Far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with typing all caps on a player's LAST NAME.

So back off...

Nothing wrong with it. It's just that your writing style reminds some of us of Stephen A. Smith, and that's seldom a good thing.

Ignore list, people. It's a good thing.

ignore list for what? having a player's name like UDOKA in caps? can I still write PJ Brown or DJ Straw or is that illegal too?

What a nonsencial forum with outlandish arguments and zero justification/proof

You just don't get it. It's not because of a players name in all caps. It's posts like you've been posting since you came here.

If you feel so persecuted, there's a great way to avoid that. Leave. You have the right to be here, of course, but there is decorum and rules to be followed and you have not been following them.

Names in all caps is beside the point. The fact that you keep attacking people and bringing it up is the point.

First of all, I don't see anybody else using bold, all-caps, or colors like you do. Using that all-caps with regularity like you do is IMO bad message board etiquette. Frankly, I find it annoying, especially since a large number of your posts are abrasive to begin with. Oh yeah, you might want to go back and reread your post. There were other words written in All-Caps other than just last names as you keep claiming.

You make this too easy. You do know what an abbreviation is, don't you? Ever heard of an acronym? PJ and DJ are abbreviations. PT is an acronym for "playing time". No one would consider either as writing in All-caps. I find even the last names in all-caps annoying myself, but I can understand if that's just your style. However, those weren't the only words in your original post that were written in all-caps even though you keep claiming that's the case.

okay, i'm certainly not enamored with the dude's posting style (in fact, i think i might have gotten into with him on this board once), but those examples are, imo, lame. they don't detract from anything he's saying. he used bold to draw attention to a point he was trying to make (proper usage of the bold - why else have it?). and he's not using the capitalization/color/bold to encite anyone. joe i have yet to see you really get into it with anyone so you've got my benefit of the doubt, but this seems pretty petty.

I actually posted those examples because he had been saying in this thread and several others that he had never used all-caps except for players' last names. BTW, I didn't say he should never use all-caps, bold, etc.. I would be a complete hypocrite if I said that. It just seemed like every one of his posts used it.

Anyhow, I apologize to Sunsman44. My intention was not to get you banned.
