Not even necessary at this point. Once a starter is named he will have almost three weeks with #1 reps.

Not saying it is necessary, just that it'd be nice for the QB to get many snaps as possible with the OL, especially since that unit is about to undergo a pretty big change. Couldn't hurt in practice situations at least.

Practice is so lame right now with no real contact ever for the most part that I honestly dont think it even matters.

I think Skelton won the job against Oakland. I can't see anybody starting Kolb over Skelton at this point. Nobody is that stupid. Kolb has proven that he sucks. If Kolb was to play this season as the starter we would have the number one draft pick in 2013.

If that's what it takes to get a real QB, then I'm all for Kolb starting!!!
