At this point I think its fruitless to try and justify doing that regardless of what or how the team is playing or whom for. Just a classless and senseless act that is beyond disgusting and nothing warrants it. Even more selfish that he didnt want the team to score even though its clearly the better option.

Dockett has a history of freelancing, especially when things are bad, so that is nothing new. If I am the Cards I discipline him because it is more than about the wants of one player.

I am impressed by Rhodes stepping up to Dockett, and makes me believe even more that he needs a new deal so he can finish his career in AZ.

Who knows, Adrian Wilson and Darnell Dockett might be heading out faster than we think. Wilson is sched to have a cap hit of 4.625 mil next year and Dockett 7.7 mil. Personally I think there can be a role on this team for these guys, but who knows, especially if we turn over our coaching staff.

“Just to clear up what happened between Darnell and me at the end of the game Sunday and some of the reports that are out there,” Rhodes said. “Yes, we had a disagreement on the field but, no he did NOT spit in my face. Absolutely did not. I’m not going to get into all the details because I think those are things you keep within the team. But Darnell and I talked after the game, we’re both moving on and I’ll leave it at that.”

This is what I expect from this team.

Someone smarter than I am can post the links to Dockett's tweets on this.

His most interesting comment, IMO, is saying when he's wrong he admits it. He does seem to be that kind of guy. I've little doubt he'd man up and admit responsibility if he'd done this. He also makes a telling remark about his loyalty to this team which I'd referred to earlier.

So once again a partial story is put out and everyone starts judging the people involved before the facts are actually known. Same old, same old. Sigh.

Guilty of this on this one. I generally do not "knee jerk" post, or try not to, this time I jumped the gun. Having had someone spit in my face I guess I am a bit sensitve.

Apologies to the board for jumping to conclusions, I hate it when I do that

Some of Dock's tweets bother me; as in he's implying we have a lot of dead weight on this team:

From 12 hours ago:
"In the end maybe I care to much, to loyal to sh*t that's not loyal to me. Maybe I should be like other #'s and just don't give a f*ck."

We all do it.

This is one I really waited on. I just couldn't see Darnell as a spitin' in the face kind of a guy.

Add that to Jeremy Bridges comments and the Todd Heap situation and maybe the people claiming CKW hasn't lost the team because of the way the D is playing are wrong and the D could be playing for themselves and Ray Horton and not Coach 0-12.

We'll read about what is really going on 4-5 years from now in some off hand reference by some writer buried in an article about the 2016 or 2017 team.

I'm starting to agree with this. I think this team may have given up weeks ago and we're just now seeing the aftermath. It's a sign of fracturing in my opinion that someone "leaked" the Dock/Rhodes incident to the press, even AFTER Whis said he preferred to handle that in-house. We haven't seen a lot of leaks come out of the locker-room and to me it's a bad sign. Plus, just for me personally, judging by Fitz's own body language going back several games, I personally believe they've given up. Our offense is so disgusting this team can't even fight for the simplest thing: pride. Whisenhunt's quarterbacks have neutered this team and made them roll over.

Wheels...flew off.

Of course, we knew they had flown off weeks ago, but they did a good job of crime scene cleanup.

I can't say I disagree with Dockett...it was an asinine call to let them score because we are sooooo good at moving the ball and getting a two pointer on TOP of that. We had better odds at stripping the ball and recovering, and I'm not kidding.

However, you need to do what the coach says, and I totally respect Rhodes for getting up in Dock about it.

However, the coach is an idiot, and has lost the team, and there is no faith in the offense whatsoever.

Ugh, all around.

Whoa. From the way the defense has been performing, the last thing you can accuse them of is "giving up weeks ago."

The problem hasn't been lack of effort by anyone; it's been the lack of talent at QB and the OL, coupled with poor and uninspired offensive coaching and decision-making that's cratered this season.

You can't (& shouldn't) hang this on DD, Kerry or anyone else on this football team. The fact that emotions are running high should tell you that this team has not lost its fight.

I don't think he's wrong at all.

dockett's actions and his tweets don't paint a rosey picture of a Coach who still has control over this team.

Anyone listen to Doug and Wolfe at 2 o'clock? Wolfe (I thought) threw 9-0 under the bus. Talking about what a loose cannon he is. He brought up the shower episode. There was a lot of "Basonians we all know Dockett has had a rough go in his life but he simply cannot do this and be a good team mate." He was referring to the Tweets, which he read, not the incident between 9-0 and Rhodes.

He also said he (Wolfe) wasn't asking any questions of the organization. That he was just going to let all this play out and give his thoughts. He's paid by the Cardinals, right?

I was pretty surprised at his approach. Which was that Darnell was entirely in the wrong and a bad teammate. Not a word about Rhodes in the whole 5 minute monologue he gave. It was a weird as everything else lately. I couldn't take it. I turned it off.

Who said they had? I was talking about the team giving up on Coach 0-12 but still playing for their teammates and Ray Horton. In no way does that indicate they have lost their fight only that they have lost faith in Coach 0-12.

Hope you see it this time Duck because Jeff even quoted Darkside in his response. It's not always about you ;)

I love the loyalty and never quit attitude of DD.

I don't like that he frequently gets up from a pile by using is forearm on the opposing players neck or head to push himself up.
I don't like that he is a loose cannon at times.

If you are playing to win the game then you let the Jets score so you stand a chance (albeit a snowball's in ....) to get the ball back with enough time to score. It's why Greene sat down at the one instead of taking it in.
