Phoenix trade
#7 and Eisley

Phoenix gets
Tyson Chandler

Chicago trades
Chandler

Chicago gets
Al Harrington

Indiana trades
Harrington

Indiana gets
Eisley and #7

Chicago should be a little under the cap and there might be trade exceptions involved (Brezec) or minor fillers.

Tyson Chandler makes 1.5M$ less than Eisley. And the #7 pick frees up 2M$ more capspace.

We would be looking at ~20-22M$ capspace afterwards.

Arent we at like $14.7 million right now. We'd give up Eisley ($6 million) and take back Chandler (he's still in a rookie deal I think. He must be somewhere between 2 and 3 million). So that would give us roughly $18 million in cap space.

Chandler, Lampe, Jake
Amare, Dice
Shawn, Zarko
JJ, Casey
Nash, Barbosa, Milos

All that and we'd still have around 8-9 million to play with in free agency.

I'd consider just hanging on to it and waiting for a team that is desperate to unload a player or salary, or wait for a deal that needs a team below the cap to make something work.

Something like this makes the McGrady thing not look as appetizing.

We have ~28M$ salaries tied up right now. (not counting our #7 pick)

The cap is expected to be set at 46 up to 48M$.

Question:

Why wouldn't we do this trade and offer JJ instead of the #7 pick for TMac if we could get value like this out of the #7 still.

We would have

C-Chandler
PF-Amare

SF or SG - TMac
PG- Barbosa

And an ton of capspace for FAs who would be flocking us to play with Amare and TMac in Phoenix for fair market value?

Also more capspace could mean that it would be easier to complete a deal with Orlando by taking on a bad contract like Juwan Howard.
We could trade Marion and Johnson for McGrady and Howard and still have a lot of capspace.

From what I've read about McGrady, I wouldn't exactly "flock" to join his team as a FA. He comes across as a whiny arrogant ball-hogging prima donna. He might not be, but as a FA, I'd stll steer clear of him.

Because Amare questioned Curry's and Chandlers work ethic when he came to the league?

I mean are we talking about 5yr olds here?

Nearly. Just look at O'Neal and Bryant. The only way we know one of them is older than five is that it's documented he had sexual intercourse.

In that case Chandler is FA next season and the Suns save all that was owed to Eisley in his last year...

I think they got into on the court a few times as well. If you asked Amare what guy would you least like to play with, I am guessing that Tyson Chandler would be near, if not the top, of that list.

I am not sure if Chandler can play C in the West I just don't know. But I would be willing to move Howard and the #7 for him.

I'd much, MUCH rather do this than trade the whole team away for McGrady. This lineup would compete right away.

But, we're just dreaming here...

I'm tired of reading, "__________ can't play center in the west."

Our most effective center last year was McDyess. There's only 2 maybe 3 franchise centers in the league every other team gets by putting 5 quality, complementary players on the floor who can rebound, score, play defense and win games.

The Pistons don't have a franchise center. The Bulls never had one.

According to this logic Hakeem O. wouldn't have been able to play center in the west.
