He's clearly, not remotely close, the worst coach in the division. Part of that is Kliff being average and the rest is the other 3 being top 10 coaches. Possibly top 5.
Agree with top 10, but gotta quibble with top 5. Of Belichick, Tomlin, Reid, Harbaugh, and Payton, which 3 are you kicking out??

Sadly, he's probably here at least another season. We all, well the majority of us on here see that KK ain't it, but it's going to take some time for the front office to move on from him. So let's all hope he grows more over the off season and begins to learn from his 'shoot yourself in the foot' offense.
My favorite offensive scheme has its roots in Mike Martz'sm"Greatest Show on Turf" where Mike seemed to fearlessly pull plays out of his hat at random (& where it could be 3rd and 20 on his 1-foot line and you'd never be sure whether he'd go deep, run a screen or dial up a weakside draw).

I had hoped that KK would have that gunslinger approach, but his playcalling of late has become too predictable. I'm talking less about "going for it" on 4th and more about pulling plays out of his hat at random. Offenses are becoming too smart reading minds of HC's. Gotta keep 'em honest. Keep 'em guessing.

I'd put Carroll over Harbs. Carroll averages 10+ wins a season and hasn't had a losing season since 2011. He only has 3 losing seasons ever, the worst of which is 6-10.

Every year for the past 3 years we have said "The Seahawks roster is bad this year. This is the year they suck" and then they go 10-6 again.

McVay and Shanny are top 10. Two of the best creative minds in football and also very good HCs. Light years above Kliff.

I’d put Carroll squarely with that group. Difficult to order them other than belicheck being #1. I think Mcvay is right behind them, for now. But he likely replaces Tomlin. Shanahan isn’t top 5. But I’d agree top 10.

I can agree with this. Interesting to see how close the comparison is between Harbaugh and Carroll:
Harbaugh: 13 yrs (less one game), 128-79-0 (.618), 1 losing season (5-11 in 2015), 10-7 playoffs, 1-0 in SB
Carroll*: 11 yrs (-1), 111-63-1 (.637), 2 losing seasons (7-9 in 2010-11, his first two), 10-7 playoffs, 1-1 in SB

* only counting his time with Seattle. Overall:
Carroll: 15 yrs (-1), 144-94-1 (.605), 3 losing seasons (above + 6-10 in '04 w/ the Jets), 11-9 playoffs, 1-1 in SB

I can’t even fathom what it would be like to have 13 of 14 winning seasons in a row.

Yeah it's super close for me but I give Carroll the lead for 2 reasons. Carroll made 2 SBs and I feel Carroll has done more with lesser rosters.
