Injured Player Obligations?

I'm not sure if this deserves it's own thread and I feel kind of stupid for not knowing the answer...... But, what obligation do injured players under contract have to their team? I ask this because I don't believe I've seen our injured players on the bench at the games - maybe I just don't watch close enough, or maybe the're not there.

I think it depends on the team. If you remember the Suns technically had Emeka Okafor on the roster in 2013-14 even though he never showed up for any games, practices, etc. Management only met with him once to test the waters to see if he'd be able to make a comeback that season and that was the last anyone heard from him regarding playing for the Suns.
