Can't wait for this.
I have a two year old, so Disney + is a staple in my household.

Inside Out is one of Disney's better movies over the past few decades.

I mean, I'd rather be watching gore porn type movies, but Inside Out is a lot better than watching Paw Patrol or Bubble Guppies. I might actually go see this one in theaters.

The first one was a classic.

So so great. Pixar (and especially Disney) needed a movie to hit it outside of the park. I think they finally have it.

Only thing I didn't like was the very beginning where Joy basically introduces the characters again. Seemed forced and fake, but maybe it was needed since it has been NINE years since the first one.

I thought it was solid, but not spectacular.

That said, its box office receipts are. Opening weekend of 155 million, biggest since Barbie last year and second biggest animated opener ever.

Between this and Bad Boys 4, the last two weekends have been a much needed boost in the box office after a pretty catastrophic May.

Yeah… definitely felt like a “we need to re-pilot” studio note to start it off.

This exactly. It was very good, though it didn't hit the heights of the first one. That would have been almost impossible. One thing I didn't dig...

...especially if it takes another 9 years to get the next one: Ignoring the "boys" angle of puberty by putting her somewhere with all girls. Such a very clear way to say "#3 will be boys" and a dodge on puberty.

But, that's a small eye roll complaint in an otherwise really good movie.

Compared to the last 5 years, IMO this is their best movie since Toy Story 4. Soul and Elemental were good, but not as much as this one was. I'd put this one as one of the best sequels they've done -- on par with Finding Dory and Toy Story 3/4, but not as high as Toy Story 2. As far as the whole Pixar catalog, I'd put this in Tier 2, with the original in Tier 1.

Hmm, I might finally have to check out Elemental. The trailers were sooo underwhelming, but I've heard nothing but positives about it.

I liked it a lot, just not as much as the Tier 1 titles of Incredibles, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, WALL-E, etc.

Very good but not as good as the first. Family really enjoyed the introduction of anxiety, loved the challenge of kids being separated as they grow up and loved how they depicted memories making up your "self". oh and the sarcasm joke was hilarious. However, just wasn't as original as the first and I really would have liked to see more of the parents. Being a dad, seeing my two of mine go through the friends separation thing and one that is there now? I would have loved to see how the parents handled it as well but the story really wasn't conducive to that since most of it was at camp.

Still another really good entry for Pixar/Disney.
