8.3 rebounds is good when playing only 31 mpg and alongside Jermaine O'Neal.

Miller would be the perfect partner for Amare.
I agree but Miller got payed way to much IMO.

That may be true, but Brad Miller is not an all-star caliber player. Miller made the all-star team because of the dearth of centers in the NBA, especially the Eastern conference. He won't come close to making the all-star team this season.

They overpaid.

And the Kings have Webber for almost 20M$ per year for the next 5 years, Bibby for an almost max contract,

Plus Bobby Jackson's contract running out soon, Peja getting 32M$ for the next 4, Divac for the max for this season, Doug Christie for 21M$ over the next 3.
...

Yes, but the Maloofs are willing to go well into luxury tax territory. Most NBA teams are not. So in determining what is a fair and reasonable salary situation, it makes more sense to look at the majority of the teams instead of the few with deep pockets.

The Maloofs better hope this current group of players pan out.

If this doesn't get them the ring... then I doubt if they'll be willing to ante up for another round.

The Palms is a nice profitable gig. But, they don't have the deeeeep pockets like a Mark Cuban (who does?).

*** It's all cyclical. The Suns were primed for a spending spree until the new CBA kicked them in the balls.

So, they've taken their lumps and have been more selective. Any successful business owner will understand their reasons. People with no clue about "money" will never understand why Suns owners don't throw around "units' like Mark Cuban. ***

After thinking about that one more time Colangelo isn't the only one among the GM's of (future) contender teams who is sacrifying talent for saving money.

SAC simply dumped Clark and have let Jim Jackson to go because of financial reasons.
HOU gave a 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders for saving about 10 mil.

And Houston pretty much got Jim Jackson in return for dumping Rice.

Sacramento got Brad Miller for dumping Clark who was way overpaid for what he did last season.

No, SAC got Miller for Pollard and Turkoglu... and Clark.

They traded Robinson, Tsakalidis and perhaps the CLE pick for JUST saving money.

You guys are so short-sighted - Don't you want them saving money so that when we have our THIRD MAX PLAYER IN AMARE - WE CAN ACTUALLY SIGN HIS ASS?! Man - Suns fans are spoiled - this team as it is right now ain't winning the title this year guys - two years from now - we will - be patient - we are going to be monsters in two years and THEN with Googs and Penny off the books - will be ready to roll - until then - just remember it took Shaq four years with the Lakers to win his first ring. Besides all that - this team is still gonna be fun to watch and have the potential to beat people in the playoffs.

Robinson's and Tsakalidis's contracts would have been up long before it was time to extend Stoudemire.

you guys forget that the nba is still a business. don't begrudge the colangelos for putting out a GREAT product and still trying not to run themselves into the poor house by avoiding the luxury tax.

the colangeli have always tried to provide the best product they could and take shots at championships when they think they're best able.

give 'em a friggin break. you want we should be golden state? how 'bout memphis?
