We know that Zack Grienke is an excellent pitcher, fielder and hitter. And we also know that he has exhibited eccentric personality traits.

Have you been following the success of Greta Thunberg, the 16-year old from Sweden, who was featured on the cover of Time magazine, which named her a "next generation leader" and one of the 100 most influential people of 2019? She also addressed the 2018 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

I didn't realize that she has Asperger syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder and selective mutism. And that it is considered to be a milder autism spectrum disorder. My grandson is autistic and it piqued my interest.

I wonder if the selective mutism ties in with why Zack never looks at the camera or his interviewer when speaking.

There was also this article, which may have been photoshopped, which infers that Greta is a time traveler from 1898. Anything is possible! Could Zack be a time traveler? :)

Please don't overreact to my posting this. It is a slow off-season! I am indeed curious about autism, because of my grandson and his reactions. The rest is tongue-in-cheek.

I love Zack Greinke, so not going to overreact. He has social anxiety disorder, so I imagine doing interviews for him is hard and that's why he doesn't like looking at the camera. Ricky Williams had SAD as well, and stated that's why he wore that dark visor and did interviews with his helmet on.

Thanks for the clarification.

I see it is described as an intense, persistent fear of being watched and judged by others.
