Hey guys, I was interested in getting your predictions for tonights game. For some reason I am not that worried, but I really feel I should be. I have this weird sense off calm that the Lakers are going to win tonight, even though I have no rational reasons to be so confident.

My prediction:

Lakers 98 Spurs 92

How about you?

Lakers should win, but I still wouldn't be shocked if the Spurs surprise.

the spurs are probably content to go home for game 7. ABC networks are too. If the Spurs somehow rise up and the Lakers pride can't keep them down, I think the refs will have something to say

no way in hell do the Spurs have the heart and will to actually beat the lakes on their court. I say deer in headlights all game long and Laker blowout - leading to another colossal Game 7 - which hopefully the Lakers will finally lose! (not holding my breath though - especially with the Spurs penchant for choking) DAMNIT! WHY DID WEBBER GET INJURED!!!!!!

Lakers by 10-15.

I wouldn't bet against Kobe and Shaq in a game 7. If Shaq ever decides to play defense San Antonio is in trouble.

As much as I want it, I just cant see the Lakers getting bounced tonight.

That said, I dont ever remember the Lakers being in this position. I know they have faced a game 7, and a game 5 (1st round series) before, but not a game 6 with elimination possibilities. It will be very interesting to see how the Lakers play tonight.

Sac town last year - the refs gave them that game - but the Lakes, as much as I hate to say won a classic Game 7 on their own.

Interesting responses. Maybe I am no as off base as I thought. I just hope the Lakers can get off to a good start instead of always spotting this team 15-20 points before they start playing (or SA starts choking?).

I want LA to win, and I'm about 90% sure it will..

Did you guys see last game? I mean sure, it took some heroics from Kobe Bryant to get his team back into it, but did anything about a 20 point lead blown by the Spurs in about 6 minutes seem familiar? Anytime this team really gets pressured, they seem to fold. You'd hate for such a monumentally dull team to win the championship this year, especially with all the excitement and uncertainty across the league throughout the course of the season. I'm by no means a Laker fan, but at least they show some heart and resolve when their backs are against the wall. Sure, it seems like they always have to wait until their backs are actually against the wall to start playing the kind of basketball they're capable of, but once they do, at least it's impressive to watch.

Congrats to the Spurs.

They were the better team, and at least for this series Tim Duncan was the best player on the court. I hope the Lakers will take this as motivation, enjoy they extra month of rest, and come out swinging next year. It wouldn't hurt to get a real life PF in there and maybe another PG.

C'mon, LSM - tell me the whole "Sours" thing was a typo... We Laker-fans need not lower ourselves to the level of the childish ones that call our team the Fakers, etc.

The Spurs were the best team on paper (1 seed, best record, MVP,Coach-of-the-Year,etc) and they proved to be the better team on the court as well.

Lakers need to reload and come back mad. Their bench needs depth and they need a truly committed Shaq. He screwed this whole season from the beginning by not having his toe surgery out of the way in the off-season.

I get it now....when Shaq said to hold up four fingers at the Threepeat Celebration last year....he meant to do it for 2004, the year the Lakers get back on top again. :D

Complete mistake. The 'o' is right next to the 'p'. The Spurs played their asses off and were definetly the better team. I just went back and edited it.

I do take solace in the fact that Kobe said that the offseason begins now for him, and no doubt it will. I just hope he can drag Shaq in there with him.

I love when a good conspiracy theory is shattered.

i'm glad to be wrong

... i was very surprised that the Lakers didn't have enough to extend the series. Ginobili didn't let Kobe get into any rythmn in the fourth. I guess the Lakers and coach Phillip's arrogant crap about the Spurs having no heart, girls team, "the asterisk" pushed a good buton in the Spurs. The evil empire in vanquished!
Much more fun to see a new champ. Go Suns, 03-04!!!!
