Good lord, the infatuation with Joe Johnson is out of control. Yes, the Suns should have kept him for an affordable contract when they had the chance, but he is definitely not a max-caliber player now. He had one good quarter against the Celtics and everyone thinks he's the second coming. Where has he been the rest of the season? What did he do down the stretch when Atlanta was gunning for a playoff berth? He's the third most important player on that team behind Smith and Horford.

Uhh respectfully disagree. Playmaking, good shooting, shot creating, 6'8 26 year old 2 guards dont grow on trees.

My only question is his demeanor. But he average over 20ppg the last two years so i'm not sure what more you could want...

He shot 43% this year and had an assist to turnover ratio of barely 2 to 1 -- both of which are in line with his career averages, by the way. He's a fine player and I admire his versatility, but he's nowhere near a #1 guy, or even a #2 on a good team.

My only question is his demeanor. But he average over 20ppg the last two years so i'm not sure what more you could want...

Much more consistent shooting and the assertiveness to take over a game more often than once or twice a month.
