I don't like it. I feel like our D gets cheated in this draft.

I like Charles Brown's upside, but he doesn't fit the Grimm mold.

Really like what Jimmy Graham brings to the table, but I don't know if Whisenhunt will go the project route.

I'm not big on Angerer and don't think he fits in a 3-4.

I would have taken Cody at 26 but not an unrealistic draft.

26. Arizona (10-6)-OT Charles Brown USC
58. Arizona (10-6)-DE/OLB Jason Worilds Virginia Tech
88. Arizona-Bal (9-7)-TE Jimmy Graham Miami
89. Arizona (10-6)-ILB Pat Angerer Iowa

If we don't get lucky with one of the top 3 ILB's falling to us then maybe a flyer on MT. Cody and let coach Lott do his magic with him. With luck maybe another "Fridge" Perry from Clemson in his early years.
I'd love Angerer as a Cardinal but not too early.I believe he can be solid for us with a little bulk.Love his attitude and hunger.Same with Edds out of Iowa.

I think getting lucky and picking up the talented route running WR and slot man for us from Texas with NFL hands would be awesome.

Not just our leading tackler from Auburn will need to be replaced and hopefully beat out Lenon in camp but I think Hayes' back is toast and a youngster could be more consistant and make us a better defense, more than ANYONE has mentioned this offseason.

I personally believe Lenon in spite of his contract and $$$ ,should be backup depth and rotation material on long drives on "D" along with bringing Hayes off the bench gives us GREAT depth and never having to go to the lightweight linebacker I hate to mention as our "supposed" depth on "D".

I personally don't want him on the field anymore for us.MOST of you will know of whom I speak, even though you may not agree.I think he's a lightweight and less talent than a late rookie would be for us.Pictures of him our last two games last year haunt my visual memory.

Coach Whiz will have to change his style and start rookies this year if they win the spot in camp.I know how much he hates to do it.

Welcome back Doug. Good to hear from you again. Getting time for the draft and am happy to see guys like you and Harry posting again.

I think you are correct about the Coach having to start some rookies this year. Hopefully we will come up with a couple that are good enough to do the job. I am really tired of seeing Frank Gore run freely up the middle against us.

I am hoping that Gabe Watson is back up to strength, and can plug the middle. Rather than taking Cody fairly early, I would rather see us take Torell Troupe late in the third or in the 4th. I really like his motor, and his leg strength. He will not tire like Cody surely will, (especially at the end of games), although as a rookie he will not be ready for an extended season like we hope to have. By letting him spell Watson from time to time, both should be comparatively fresh even over a long season.

I like the Jimmy Graham pick. He would be a nice value in the third round. Charles Brown makes me nervous just looking at him. Yea he has good feet and moves well but he has narrow shoulders, played under 300 pounds and is not considered by any scout thus far that I have seen to have enough a$$ to be a powerful run blocker. In fact a big worry that I have is that he would be constantly pushed back to the quarterback.

Talking of OT's the only OT i wouldnt mind the Cards picking in the second is Roger Staffold from the Indiana Hoosiers. He is an awesome athlete with immense leg strengh and reach and from what ive seen an immovable object. At 6'5 and 316 he is strong and lean, he is an excellent run. blocker with his RB's averaging 4.5 ypg and 398 tot off. He had excellent combine results to and was very impressive during the drills.

There is no way we pick an OT in the first and i also actually dont see us picking one before the 4th but if we are gonna go down that route id go for Staffold.

Saffold probably won't be available by our pick in the 2nd round. I could see us shocking the world and drafting him at 26. He's a legit prospect that has all the measureables and was extremely productive at Indiana.

Well, if OT is a target at #26, let's give the pick and get GAITHER... (IMO)

I just get the sense that OT is far more a media identified need rather than one the Cards FO has identified.

Its understandable: other than maybe Mike Sando at ESPN, is there anyone in the national media who you would expect to know who Brandon Keith is?

Please God, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I would vomit on myself if those were our first four picks.

I very much agree. The sense that I get is that we're going to roll with the lineman we have, including those at OT (Brown, Johnson, Keith and Bridges are all trained at the position).

If there's a prospect later in the draft that they like, they'll go for them, but IMO OT is not going to be targeted early in the draft.

I dont think we should go OT at all as we have too many needs on D. IMHO we shouldnt think about OT until after the fourth and then look for a project for Grimm.

I too would be upset if this is what the Cards did. I don't think Whiz wil go this way at all. I'm not even sure we will take a TE or OT in the draft. I believe we will see the 1st through 4th pick on the defensive side.
