INteresting Mock

This guy has an interesting mock that gets us a #3 WR an additional R2 pick and Vince Wilfork at #7 while not spending top 5 $. What do you think? Would we pass on Williams here?

1 San Diego- Larry Fitzgerald
big time qbs are not the trend these days and a decent qb can run an offense including LT and LF.

2Oakland- Eli Manning

3Arizona- trades down for northcutt and a 2nd, Cleveland-Gallery. Cleveland needs Gallery and Bidwill doesnt want to pay a top five pick SB. Northcutt will be a good compliment to the youngsters.

4N.Y. Giants- Ben Rothlisberger. Learns for a year before Collins leaves for FA. Will have great weapons to ease his transition.

5 Jax trades a 3 and a 5 to move up for Roy Williams.
His speed and four years in college make him the pick over Mike. Instant contributor and maybe frontrunner for OROY.

6 Hou gives a 3 and a 5 to move up for Sean Taylor. Their secondary needs a playmaker like him.

7 Arizona- Vince Wilfork.
Would have been winslow, but northcutt gives them the weapon they need. Wilfork frees space for big money guys berry, pace and bryant.

I'm not an advocate of Mike Williams at #3, but if we trade down to 7 and he's on the board, I'm all over him... and so, I think, are the Cardinals.

If ever there was a good year to trade down and maintain quality, this might be the year. That also means that fewer teams are likely to trade up, unless a specific priority player was available to the trade up team when the Cards pick comes up. This sounds like a draft day deal and not a pre draft deal.

I'm all for a trade down with Cleveland, but I think Oakland will beat us to the punch. Cleveland cannot let NY Giants get ahead of them in the Gallery sweeps. This aside,while I think that NY Giants really want him, they are not prepared to move up to #1 to get him, especially as they could go QB with one of Ben or Eli at #4 which is a position of need for them.

Should it happen that we trade down with Cleveland and either Mike or Roy Williams is there (one of whom and maybe both could very well be), I'm all over this pick. That second round pick of Cleveland's will be worth it's weight in gold!

In my opinion the Cardinals should think about moving down and stockpile draft picks because a WR or anyone that they would pick at 3 won't turn the franchise around in one season. If they get more picks and make smart picks (That is hard to do for our Team) we can improve areas of need.
