Dockett's a favorite - He's got depth.

Thought this was interesting:

Q: So let's pretend you're a free agent. Would you ever consider signing with the 49ers?
A: (Sneers) I'm going to go wherever Coach (Ken) Whisenhunt goes. He does it the right way. He's very fair. He's a player's coach, a family guy, and that's what you want to play for, man.

Look, you can't just get certain guys just because they do what they do and who they are and think you can win a championship. It don't work that way. Just go look at the Eagles. You've got to get guys who are willing to come in and commit, do the small things, no matter who you are, and get better at them. That's how you build a good defense, good chemistry and most of all, your teammates will respect you.
Savvy vet speak. It's cool watching time and experience change perspective.
I don't think young Dockett would have thought as much, especially considering how ugly things were at the start of his career.

Most interesting thing about that Q & A is his comments about playing for Whiz and wanting to be wherever he is. Speaks volumes about what the players think of him and is further evidence that he is nowhere close to losing them either. Makes sense when you see how hard they are still playing for him.

yeah....will he still feel that way when they give CC more money than him??

9-0 has tweeted more than once about how appreciative he is to be making the money he is. The new contract, IMO, meant a lot to him. He seems to be a pretty honorable man where all of that is concerned. I also think he was very touched by all the people who held up the "Sign 9-0" posters for him at training camp last year.

(You know who you are. :))

Besides being an outstanding player and teammate Dockett is about the scariest looking football player in the league. They should name him the Terminator.

I want him on my side. :)

More evidence of this today.
